What is this lump on the inside of my knee after a thighplasty? (photo)

I'm 5 weeks post op from thighplasty and TT. I noticed this lump 2 weeks out. Doc said it was excess fluid but should go away with compression suit and massage. 3 weeks later it looks like it's getting bigger. It's right at the start of my incision which is going away. What do I do to get rid of it? It doesn't hurt and moves around when I massage it but doesn't shrink in size.

What you seem to have is a seroma (serous fluid collection) that formed and the lowest part of your incision.  These are annoying and can take time to go away.  Your surgeon may choose to put a small drain in there or aspirate it.  Sometimes the area needs a small reoperation to close it completely.

Hello and thank you for your question. That is a collection of fluid most likely a lymphocele (collection of lymphatic fluid). You need to see your ps.  Yes it needs drainage and if not responsive to repeated drainage I name may well need excision. Peter Fisher M.D.
