good morning! Some swelling two days after filler on your lateral orbit is common- but be careful pressing on it too much. It takes several days for the filler to "set up"- pushing too much too early can make it all disappear completely! In my practice, I encourage patients to come to the office and let me press on any swelling that may be apparent.I hope this helps
Since it's only been two days, I suspect this is swelling and not the filler product, but there's no way to know until enough time passes. Massage would be appropriate. See the video link for other tips.
It is absurd to suggest that this needs to be injected with enzyme. This lump of filler can be directly manipulated. While you could do it, that is not your job. It is the job of your injector.
Thank you for your question. It is common to have some swelling after filler injections to the tear troughs which can take up to 2 weeks to resolve. You can apply cold compresses to the treated area to help reduce swelling. If you are unhappy with your final results you can have the filler dissolved with hyaluronidase. I recommend following up with your injector to address any concerns you may have. Best of Luck!
You can massage the bump and it may help but if it persists you should see your doctor and see if hyaluronidase can be injected to remove it
So 48 hours is a good time to massage going forward. There may be some stray filler or some swelling but either way massage is the answer. If the lump is still there in another two weeks then its probably misplace filler and might benefit from being partially dissolved. Hope that helpsAdam Goodwin
Hello cklos1,The tear troughs have very thin skin and are prone to contour irregularity when filler is incorrectly placed. Using a filler in this area that pulls in a lot of water can also lead to fullness. If you noticed the lump at the time of injection then it is likely too much product. Within the first week or so the product is mobile and can be massaged for a better contour. If the lump developed over hte next two days then it is likely just swelling from the injection. To help determine what is going on, I'd recommend you follow up with your injector. If after 2 weeks the lump is still there, and it is caused by too much filler, then you can inject an enzyme to dissolve it.In the future, you should only have this area injected by a cosmetic physician injector to minimize your risk of contour irregularities. I hope this helps and good luck.
I would wait a little, speak to your injector, and ice the area. Sometimes I prescribe oral steroids to reduce swelling faster. My office has a policy towards injections of any filler. 2 days after injection is rather early for evaluation, as long as everything is healing well. I would be patient with your full recovery, typically final results can take 2-3 weeks to settle in. I hope this helpsDr. B
It is rare, but Iif my patients notice a lump right after filler, then they can often massage it down. Best to ask your doc.
Thank you for your question. I would return to your injector. This may need to be dissolved with Hyaluronidase. I think it is too soon for an infection. You should be examined soon.

Thank you for your question. It is very unlikely that you still have product left in this area after 17 months. Even though it is rare to have an allergic reaction to Restylane it is possible. I recommend having a consultation with an expert for evaluation and proper treatment. Best of Luck!
Thank you for yor question! I don't believe there are any studies to definitively prove it, but I can't imagine MDMA (XTC) having any effect on the outcome of lip filler injected 5 days prior. On the other hand, you may still have some swelling and bruising from the filler injection, which you ...
