I got 2 syringes of voluma in my cheeks and don't see much of a difference (photo)

 
This it not uncommon. Every patient reacts differently to filler
injections and I have had patients that have needed 3-4 syringes of Voluma to
see a significant difference. The good thing is it can last for 24 months in
some patients.

Thank you for your question. It is difficult to give a complete answer with out the new picture to compare. With that being said, every doctor injects a bit differently. Some may go more central to create that stronger cheek bone look. Others may inject more laterally which can cause more of a lift. Your best bet is to go back to the doctor, have him take some new pictures, and then compare the before and afters. Good luck!

To get the cheek volume you are after, I'd suggest getting Sculptra injected as a foundation for the fillers as it will promote collagen production and thus build volume over time. Fillers can be layered over the Sculptra to achieve the defined cheekbones you are looking for. Please consult with an expert injector to discuss your desired outcomes and possible treatment options.

Although I don't have your recent photos, I suspect that your doctor could have used more Voluma.  I typically recommend a minimum of 2 syringes of Voluma but most of my patients will have 3 sometimes 4 syringes, esp. in patients older than 50, where there is a significant loss of facial volume.   The "cheek" is large area to fill as it includes the cheek bone, temples, and under eyes.  You want to fill  this entire zone for a natural noticeable result. This often requires more than 2 to 3 syringes. 

Thank you for sharing your question and I am sorry that your results have not been what you anticipated.  Unfortunately it is difficult to make a recommendation without a full series of photographs but technique is important in achieving meaningful results and it would be best to have an ASPS board certified plastic surgeon perform your injections.  Voice your concerns to your current injector so that a review of your before and after photographs can be performed.  Best wishes. 

The nice thing about starting off conservatively with filler is that you can always add more if you aren't happy with your results....

If you don't like your results, you can always get a bit more. It's a smart thing to start off conservatively since much easier to add filler than take it away. See a board certified plastic surgeon to be assessed and discuss. Best of luck.

filler used to enhance the appearance of the face. It is difficult to make any assessment without before and after photographs. In our office we have patients return two weeks after their treatment to take standardized after photographs and assess the results. At that point further enhancement can be performed if desired. Please consult

Thank you for your question.  Having 1 syringe of Voluma injected in each cheek is a good starting point to achieve sculpting of the cheekbones with some lift.  However, layering filler over time is ideal for creating the full correction of your cheeks that you are after.  I advise my patients to give their Voluma 2-4 weeks to really adhere to the bone and integrate with the tissues.  After that time, visit your favorite plastic surgeon's office and ask your injector to reassess your cheeks to discuss options.   At that visit, you may consider adding another syringe or two of Voluma in the cheek area to give you the results you are looking for.  Wishing you so much bliss on your journey!
