Thank you for your question. Tenderness, lumps, discoloration, and itching are less common side effects of Voluma. All side effects for Voluma tend to subside within 2 to 4 weeks. Please consult with your board certified facial plastic surgeon.Best wishes,
Rashes aren't a side effect associated with Voluma. I recommend following up with your Dr. for an evaluation. Best, Dr. Emer
Thank you for sharing your question. Voluma should not cause a rash. Treatment may result in some skin irritation, redness, or swelling, but a rash should be seen by your surgeon for a diagnosis and treatment recommendation.
There is always a bit of post injection redness and swelling which may or may not itch. You might be mistaking this for a "rash". It should subside on it's own in the next few weeks. If it does not or the symptoms get worse then you will need to be examined in person by your injector.
Are you sure that what you have is a rash and not just the typical post injection redness and swelling? You will be able to see and feel little raised "bumps" where the filler was injected. These will resolve in time. If your "rash" doesn't improve within two weeks, see your surgeon. Best of luck.
Thank you foryour question sctiahazel. Voluma is afiller used to enhance the appearance of the face. Redness and swelling can be seen after any injection. Sometimes this is mistaken for a rash. Please consultwith a doctor for specific recommendations. Good luck!
This is not a side effect of Voluma. If there is a rash in the area of Voluma, it could be an allergy to the soap or disinfectant used during the placement of the product. This should occur soon after treatment, not days or weeks later.
Unfortunately, without photos it is really hard to know what is going on. However, I would agree that you may have caused more swelling with the manual massage and would encourage you to not do anymore. If you are unhappy with your results, you really should go back to your injector and let t...
To really identify what is going on, a good photo would help. However, nothing is going to be as effective as a local clinical exam. As such, you're really best off visiting your injector and letting them know what is going on. If the lump is the result of product, then it can most likely be...
Thank you for sharing your question and I am sorry that your current results have not been what you anticipated. Without photographs it is difficult to offer definite advice, but I would first allow your results to mature for 2-3 weeks before assessing your long-term appearance. ...
It may take more than one injection to reverse the filler, especially voluma which has a special cross linking that makes it last much longer than other fillers. Best, Dr. Emer.
Thank you for your question. The injection of fillers can result in broken capillaries in the cheeks. I suggest that you remain patient with your recovery. You will find enviably fuller cheeks at the end of your short recovery. Your capillaries should heal as well. Please keep your board ...
Thank you for this excellent question. The cheekbone, also known as the zygoma, has three bony protrusions from the main point of projection. When Voluma is injected correctly in this area, there is a hint of Voluma going towards the bottom of the orbit known as the infra orbital rim, a p...
