The problem is not that I have puffy eyes, eye bags or loose skin. However, I often have dark blue or purple coloring under my eyes making me look tired. Would this procedure also help in this case?
Answer: Improvement of dark circles under eyes. Dark circles under patient’s eyes can be the result of some pigmentation in the skin which may be best treated by topical agents. However, I see that you actually do have some small fat bags in the lower eyelids which are bulging forward and causing a shadow inferiorly to them. A lower blepharoplasty to trim these fat pads should help with that shadowing and if the discoloration is not fully gone, you may wish to visit your dermatologist to see what options are available. Best wishes.

Answer: Eyelid Surgery Hello! Thank you for your question. As far as I can see from your photo you have extra skin both above and under your eyes. Also your eye corners are very downward. For get rid of the extra skin and dark circles, gain more fresh, young, elegant and upward looking I can suggest upper and lower blepharoplasty, canthopexy and fat injection to under your eye area. If you can provide photos with better lighting, from the side of your face and 1 meter away I would be able to make a proper evaluation. It would be more convenient to decide with face-to-face consultation. Best Regards!

There are many things you can do to treat under eye hollows and dark circles. A surgical option to remove skin and/or fat will such as lower eyelid blepharoplasty with or without fat pad repositioning will be the best long term. There are many things you can do to treat under eye hollows and dark circles without surgery. Non invasive less downtime options such as fillers (Belotero, Juvederm Volbella), lasers (Moxi/Halo/Fraxel/CO2), Renuvion (J-Plasma), microneedling/PRP, stem cells and microneedling RF like Fractora PiXel8 or Morpheus can all help give some improvement. Accutite can often be used or stronger lasers like erbium or co2 spot treatment can tighten the skin and give very quick improvement in wrinkles and texture. A surgical option to remove skin and/or fat might be the best solution long-term. I suggest you get a formal consultation to see what is best for you and your goals. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Dark circles From your photo it does appear that your lower eye bags are contributing to your concerns. A lower blepharoplasty would address this. Excess skin will be removed and the herniated fat will be corrected. The result will be a smoother, more youthful eye. See a board certified plastic surgeon near you to learn more.

Answer: Lower lids... From the photo, you do appear to have small lower lid fat bags along with a tear trough. That combination creates a shadowing effect that makes it look darker under the eyes. Yes, you do have some dark pigment, but a combination of lower lid fat removal plus fat injection into the tear troughs should make a nice improvement. Be sure to see a facial specialist for consultation.
