Hello! I had a rhinoplasty about 5 years ago that caused a lot of breathing issues. I used to pull my cheek outward so I could open up my airways after my rhinoplasty and I'm not sure if doing that caused my left cheek to stretch downward. Could it be that I have Ptosis? What is this and how can I fix/lift my left lower eyelid and cheek? I am 30 years old. Thank you so much!

Hello, thank you for your question. You will need to go to a plastic surgeon who can do eyelid ptosis repair and they can go in and lift up the tarsal plate. The name of the surgery is called Upper eyelid ptosis repair. Hope this helps and best of luck to you!
The best way to avoid droopiness is to have Botox but NOT in the forehead, only in the glabella, between the eyebrows, and under the tail of the eyebrow, in the lateral orbicularis. The lift is very noticeable!
Nerve and muscle responsible for eyelid ptosis are located within the orbit and far away from rhinoplasty surgery field. It is unlikely that rhinoplasty was the cause of ptosis. It would be best to seek a consultation of a board certified plastic or oculoplastic surgeon in this regard. Good luck.
