Hello, RA alone is not a contraindication to a Vampire Facial. However, patients with an impaired immune system due to immunosuppressive medication should NOT undergo any microneedling procedure. Microneedling is an important step of a Vampire Facial for optimal results. It would be best to postpone your Vapire Facial until you have completed your medication protocol to reduce any risk of infection. Cheers from Dallas!
RA is a long term, progressive, autoimmune disease mainly causing inflammation and painful swelling of joints and body organs. For its treatment immunosuppressive agents are used, which alleviate the problem to some extent. As RA mainly involves joints, there are no additional risks involved with vampire facials as it is micro needling combined with PRP derived from your own blood.Regards,Neel Bector
RA is an autoimmune system disorder generally originating from a disorder in the gut. PRP is often used to mediate inflammation in joints caused by RA. Therefore, the PRP is not likely to cause an issue. Most HA fillers should not cause an issue unless you have a sensitivity to one or more of its' ingredients. Though likely not a problem, I would avoid HA fillers that contain additives such as calcium.I notice you reside in Guatemala. It would be wise to consult with a qualified and recognized medical provider that can guide you through your various options.Enjoy your new looks!Warmly,Arbella Sarkis, MD
Hello,Thank you for your question. If you are getting a vampire facial, not a vampire facelift (which involves the use of a filler), I do not see why this would be a problem. A Vampire Facial only uses PRP, which is your own blood. You should not have problem with this. As for healing, it is important to leave the blood on your face for as long as possible to help with healing. Do not wash your face the day of the treatment. Leave it alone until the next day then wash your face with a gentle cleanser. For post care, you will need to use something hydrating. We recommend NeoCutis BioCream. This has growth factors and helps speed up the healing time. As always, if you have any concerns you should always check with your RA doctor and let them know what you plan on having done ahead of time.
Dear Guatemala,Thank you for the question.Vampire facial is microneedling with prp and Vampire facelift is fillers with prp. Both are safe and effective for aesthetic rejuvenation without any systemic issues.Choose an expert. Best. Dr Brecht Seattle, Wa

Thank you for your question in regards to “vampire facial” treatment, also known as Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) facial. Patients with higher levels of melanin in their skin are generally more susceptible to pigmentation risks/side effects. To minimize this, it is common to pre-treat the area ...
Hello and thank you for your question. The Vampire facial can have potential complications. The Vampire facial involves microneedling and the application of activated platelets (and not pure blood, or other chemical products) on the area treated. The deeper the treatment,...
