Can I get a breast lift or internal bra with the horizontal scar only?

There are a multitude of techniques to lift the breasts. Some have more scarring than others. The amount of lift achieved is essentially directly proportional to the amount of scarring. That is, the procedures that have more scarring provide more lift and vise versa. The need for extra scarring depends on your goals and underlying condition. Seek a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you, and guide you through the decision process.

What will determine the need for the vertical scar is the amount of sag and nipple position during the clinical exam at the time of your consultation. For mild breast sagginess, restoring the breast volume with an implant might be able to provide enough lift. In that case, the only scar needed is the horizonal scar at the time of breast augmentation. If however the droopiness of the breasts are moderate to severe, a breast lift via external scar either around the nipple and /or vertically will be needed. The good news is these incisions usually heal nicely and mature to a fine lines after one year.

I would suggest to be treated by board certified plastic surgeon with experience in this procedure, to get the best desired results.

Unfortunately, you have not provided photographs or told us your bra size. However, the technique I recommend is The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained.

If you already have implants, an internal capsulorrhaphy via a horizontal scar can lift the implants and give you a modest lift. Without implants, you would need to have a periareolar or maybe a vertical scar for a lift.

my preferred lift is a lollipop lift when a periareolar won't do (ie greater than 2cm lift required). The lollipop technique was created by a Canadian plastic surgeon named Elizabeth Hall-Findley and treats the breast as a three dimensional structure instead of two dimensions (anchor - lift). Most importantly it does not require the horizontal component scars that the anchor-lift requires and breasts appear much more natural, lifted, and less boxy. Lastly, the lift lasts longer because the lollipop doesn't rely on the skin to hold the breast up, its actually breast tissue thats being brought together to support the breast and hence improves longevity.

No, all lifts require a scar around the areolae to lift them back up into the proper place. Many lifts can be done without the inferior scar, but most lifts need the vertical scar to have the best shape. The internal bra is not for a lift per se, but to give the implant or residual breast tissue more support, especially during the early phase of healing.
