Answer: Would Gilbert's syndrome and be a limiting factor to have a tummy tuck? Having GS does not create any serious consequence. You may notice mild jaundice when exposed to the stress of the TT. Otherwise, a clearance from your PCP or internist who is overseeing your medical condition would suffice for you proceeding with the TT.

Answer: Would Gilbert's syndrome and be a limiting factor to have a tummy tuck? Hello and thank you for your question. The short answer is 'no'. Generally speaking, a stable medical condition, adequately treated, should not prevent you from getting a tummy tuck. Gilbert's syndrome only causes mild jaundice with no interference in liver function. I would suggest that you see a board-certified plastic surgeon for a more complete evaluation. Your plastic surgeon may want to consult your primary care doctor or rheumatologist in order to determine your candidacy.
