Do I need a tummy tuck? I am considering getting a BBL done but was told a tummy tuck would benefit me also.

Thank you for your question & photos!  Based on your photos, you could get good results with liposuction.  Liposuction will remove excess fat with some retraction of skin.  A tummy tuck will address excess skin & repair of muscle.  The abdominal wall can be weakened after pregnancy and (or) significant weight gain & loss.  By repairing the muscle, not only does the appearance of your abdominal area improve, but your core strength as well.  The repair of the muscle will cinch your waist like an inner corset, which will accentuate your curves. Your expectations and health will dictate the best procedure(s) for you. I suggest a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to go over the options that best address your goals.  Best of luck!

Thank you for sharing your question and photographs. Unfortunately without knowing more of your full medical history and future desires for children, it is difficult to render advice on a tummy tuck. As it is an elective procedure you do not need to have it performed now, but you can revisit the option in the future after your BBL.

There are some nice surgical options for improving the abdominal area including a full tummy tuck (which is the most dramatic option), a mini tummy tuck and liposuction.  There are also some nonsurgical options such as laser treatments and injections. I would recommend that you see a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area that is a member of both ASPS & ASAPS and performs a lot of tummy tucks and liposuction. You may be able to avoid the TT, but this will depend upon your exam and the precision with which the liposuction is performed.  How flat the abdomen will be will depend upon how much fat is removed from the area as well as how you heal.  The thinner patient requires an expert at liposuction to remove as much fat as possible while leaving the skin smooth. There are a lot of women who can get nice results despite thinking that there is not enough fat.

The degree of skin laxity in your abdominal wall can only be established by a physical examination. You seem to have some skin laxity in your lower abdomen. You will likely benefit from a mini tummy tuck with added liposuction of your abdomen and flanks. I would seek consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon for a full evaluation and advice. In this regard, I recommend you waist and back Liposculpture, getting better curves especially in the waist, improving your body contour.
Finally, I suggested take the fat we get and transfer to the buttocks and hips, to mold them and get better volume, contour and butt projection, is that we know as "Brazilian Butt Lift" (BBL).Kind regards

Dear Te,   Thanks for posting your pictures. Let me start with telling you that BBL is a total waste of your time and money, because the fat disappears completely or almost completely within few month or even sooner. I have seen it on hundreds of patients who came to my surgery center for butt implants surgery after their big disappointment from the BBL that was done by other surgeons (I do not do it ).   Thinks about it this way. If fat injection was reliable and consistent, most women would have preferred it for breasts augmentation over breasts implants. However,  the reality is that the number one cosmetic surgery in the US is breasts augmentation with implants !!!   Your only option for butt augmentation is butt implants. They do not disappear and when done in expert hands, they are very attractive and natural looking.   In regard to tummy tuck, base on the pictures you do not really need it. Aggressive liposuction should be sufficient to contour your body and tighten your mild abdominal skin laxity.    Always, consult with experienced board certified plastic surgeons who operate in accredited surgery center for your safety. I don’t think you are in need of either procedure. In addition a surgeon would have a hard time getting enough fat for the bbl. that’s just as well because the bbl is an absolutely worthless procedure.  you might consider a mini tummy tuck. I’m generally  not crazy about them but you are a good candidate.

based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a BBL. Liposuction of your abdomen, back and flanks should give you more curves and hourglass shape and fat transfer to buttocks should give you more projection. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon because only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.
