Safety is always paramount in cosmetic surgery. We cannot justify performing a procedure to enhance your appearance if their are significant risks due to underlying medical conditions. Hypertension alone should not be a contraindication to a tummy tuck as long as it is well controlled. Your plastic surgeon may want to confirm the safety of the procedure with your primary care physician.
Hi and thank you for your question. High blood pressure alone should not prevent you from getting a tummy tuck. That is assuming your blood pressure is well controlled and your health is stable otherwise. I recommend you consult with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and discuss your medical concerns and options at that time. They may request a medical clearance from either your internist or cardiologist before proceeding with surgery. I hope this helped. Best wishes!
Thanks for your question. High blood pressure by itself is not a reason to shy away from an abdominoplasty. As long as you are on medications and it is well controlled, it is ok to move forward with surgery. If you have any questions or concerns, always best to see your primary care physician prior to a planned elective surgery, let them know what you are planning and they can make sure all is in order.Best wishes
It is possible to get a tummy tuck even if you have high blood pressure. However, it’s important to discuss this with your primary care physician and your plastic surgeon to make sure that the procedure is safe for you.
Well controlled high blood pressure is not a contraindication for a TT. Your PS will likely require a full evaluation and medical clearance by the physician who is treating your BP prior to the procedure.
As long as your bp is under control and you are cleared by an internist for surgery, you would do great
It's safe to undergo a tummy tuck if your blood pressure is well-controlled. I recommend discussing with your primary care doctor especially if your blood pressure is not controlled with medications.
Helloand thank you for your question. Generally speaking,a stable medical condition, adequately treated, should not preventyou from getting a tummy tuck. I would suggest that you see a board-certifiedplastic surgeon for a more complete evaluation. Your plastic surgeon may wantto consult your primary care doctor in order to determineyour candidacy. Thank you for your question! You will need to get medical clearance from your doctor. If your blood pressure is under control, there should be no issue with you having the surgery. Your expectations and health will dictate the best procedure(s) for you. I suggest a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to go over the options that best address your goals.
