I'm not happy with my MMO results. Will a revision help? (Photo)

Thank you for submitting photos- Based on what I'm seeing, and given that you are 1 year out from your initial surgery, I would say that it would be reasonable to speak with your plastic surgeon regarding revision surgery.  Fine-tuning your results with additional liposuction and possible revision to your scar will likely get you exactly where you want to be. 

This may be a very good result depending upon preoperative photos, but there is usually room for further contouring.

You may benefit from additional contouring with liposuction. It is normal to have persistent fat centrally and minor contour irregularities at the sides of your incision (dog-ears). A second stage revision can help with these areas.

You definitely have to choose your surgeon correctly and make sure that he/she has the training and experience to meet your goals with absolute safety.  A key quality indicator is Board Certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.  Don’t settle for less than a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon with specialized expertise in this procedure.

At a year's time postop it is reasonable to discuss revisionary surgery.  I think it is always best to start with the surgeon who performed your surgery so you can discuss your concerns and review your before and after photos.  Just like prior to the original surgery, it is important to discuss the options and likely outcomes to help have an understanding of realistic post revision expectations.

I am sorry that you are dissatisfied.  I suspect that if we compared your after photos to your befores, that we would see substantial progress.  1.  You do have some uneven-ness of your abdominal scar.  This can occur with your natural asymmetry, the acquired asymmetry of the pannus that was removed, and/or some surgical asymmetry.  2.  Your 'bending over" photos show some vertical redundancy.  This raises the dilemma of whether or not you would be better off, or worse off with a vertical excision scar.  Sometimes it is a difficult choice.  3.  There are dog ears laterally.  These can be made better by revision.  Return to your PS to discuss.  Revision, combined getting in optimal shape could be helpful.
