I am thrilled to share my experience with Dr. Christine Fisher and her team following my mastopexy with internal mesh and liposuction for shaping around my upper chest in September 2023. After being four years postpartum, I went from a barely B cup pre-pregnancy to a saggy full C cup with enlarged nipples after exclusively breast pumping for six months. My goal was to return to my pre-pregnancy state, but the results exceeded my expectations—I now have the breasts of my dreams! From my initial consultations, I conducted extensive research on various surgical options and surgeons in Austin. After meeting with three top surgeons, Dr. Fisher truly stood out. She brought a valuable female perspective, made strong recommendations, and made me feel confident, special, and assured. In contrast to the other surgeons I met, who offered more ambivalent advice, Dr. Fisher knew exactly what to do. I opted for the internal mesh to ensure the longevity of my results and agreed with Dr. Fisher’s recommendation for liposuction to help shape my chest. I am so glad I made those decisions! Additionally, prior to officially engaging with the surgical team, I signed up for an annual membership with their sister medspa, Austin Cosmetic Medspa, which provided discounts on my surgical fees and numerous other benefits. The membership in part paid for itself, and I continue to receive exceptional care at the medspa. The care I received on the day of surgery was outstanding. Everyone, including nurse Hawna Mumm, was kind, personable, and attentive. Post-op care was equally compassionate and reassuring, and it was clear that Dr. Fisher and Hawna had a vested interest in ensuring my happiness with the results. Now, my results are incredible! I can go without a bra, my scars are healing well, and my sensitivity is normal. I feel amazing! I would highly recommend Dr. Christine Fisher and her entire team to anyone considering this procedure. They not only delivered on their promises but provided an experience that has truly transformed my confidence.
I had my saline implants in for over 20 years. I had scheduled a surgery in Southern California, but then COVID happened, the surgery was canceled, and I ended up moving to the Austin area in summer 2020. I kept thinking I would go back and visit California and get the removal done, but I kept putting it off. Finally this year I got serious and booked a consult with Dr. Fisher. So happy I did! She and her staff fit me in, gave me the minimal surgery I wanted at a reasonable price, and kept me as comfortable as possible with the process as possible throughout. I'm done with implants, personally, as I'm focused on minimizing exposure to anything toxic as much as possible in this crazy world. Plus, I decided I like my IBTs better anyway. (I think I have Dr. Fisher to thank for the nice result given all they've been through!) I will not hesitate to return to Dr. Fisher in the future for, say, a little eye lift? :)
Dr. Fisher is the woman you want on your team, especially when undergoing plastic surgery. She’s full of compassion and honesty. She will help guide you based on what you want for yourself. She’s created a professional yet family-feel in her office culture. Her nurse, Hawna is a dream! She’s knowledgeable and a friend that helps answer any questions you may have along the way. Dream team!! This is not even mentioning the results from the procedure… I am 100 percent pleased!!! Couldn’t be more thrilled with how I look and feel; confident and beautiful inside & out!
I’m 60 so I had what I am calling an old lady makeover seven weeks ago. I am also a doctor, and every day I am completely amazed at all the tiny little mistakes that did not happen. You might think the surgeries are simple, and the procedures themselves are not hugely complex. However, there are probably 20 little things that can go wrong from a scar that is not straight, or too high, or has a buckle at the end of it that sticks out. This procedure went about as perfectly as it could have and I am so delighted with the results. If they don’t get at all better, and they certainly will since it’s only been seven weeks, I would still be over the moon.
I am forever grateful to Dr. Fisher and her entire team. The staff is professional, friendly, knowledgeable and incredibly responsive. When you are in the care of Dr. Fisher and her team, you are in the very BEST of hands. Dr. Fisher has a unique ability to combine her precise and expert knowledge with a level of compassion and care that is unmatched. As a breast cancer patient (now survivor!), I knew there were numerous stages to my reconstructive process. Dr. Fisher and her team were the only ones I trusted to navigate such complicated surgeries. Throughout the process, she addressed my concerns, answered my questions, and always made me feel like a participant in the conversation rather than just a bystander. The best part is that she delivered results that I could have only imagined! To go through cancer is awful and you often find yourself looking for as many silver linings as possible. Establishing a relationship with a medical team such as Dr. Fisher's is a silver lining and moreover, I consider them all to be a treasure that was waiting for me at the end of a very long and hard journey.
I can't even imagine going to anyone else except Dr. Christine Fisher. She removed my implants and did a beautiful reconstruction almost two years ago. I couldn't be happier. She and her staff showed compassionate caring and have always been available for any question or concern I had. If you are searching for a true artist, look no further. I couldn't have asked for more in a doctor.
5 stars does not adequately review Dr. Christine Fisher! She is the most amazing surgeon and I am soo happy with my results!! After having 2 other surgeries from different doctors I’m so grateful to have found Dr. Fisher! She fixed my old issues of two different prior sets of implants and now my boobs are the best they’ve ever looked even before 4 kids. I can’t say enough great things about her, her anesthesiologist Allen or her nurses and other staff. Julie and Mary were so supportive and have been so sweet & helpful through this whole process. So happy & grateful!!
Dr. Fisher came highly recommended from a friend of mine who had a similar procedure, and now I know why. I highly recommend Dr. Fisher for any cosmetic procedure, but she is the best breast surgeon in town in my opinion. When I met with Dr. Fisher, the first thing that she asked me is to look in the mirror, and show her what I wanted -- which really impressed me because some surgeons would just start telling me what they wanted to do, not focus on what I wanted. I'm 56 years old and nothing was where it was supposed to be anymore with weight loss/gain, and skin and hormonal changes. I needed to replace my implants for the 3rd time, and thought I could just have them replaced without doing anything else. Dr. Fisher showed me that a breast lift would help me get more of what I wanted, or I would have to get very large implants. I've had large implants for 30 years, I really wanted everything to be smaller and more symetrical. I opted for a breast lift with smaller implants and mesh -- and could not be happier with the result. I used to have some nerve pain, and it's all gone. She removed 3 inches of fat/skin around my bra line and lifted everything, so it is where it should be, and I no longer have to where a heavy duty underwire bra. I feel 10 years younger and 10 lbs lighter!
After researching several different physicians, I decided to consult with Dr Fisher. From the initial phone call I was convinced that I was in the right place. The staff is unbelievable, from the person who answers the phone to the nursing staff. Dr. Fisher’s staff takes time to listen, understand and provide exceptional care for their patients. You never feel rushed or as though you are just another patient, it is like you are a part of their family. Special accolades go out to Lara who is an outstanding, caring nurse and one of the best in the medical profession. There isn’t enough wonderful things I can say about Dr. Fisher. She is a phenomenal physician who from the minute you meet her, you know she cares. She listens to your wants, explains the procedure in detail, and goes above and beyond to make sure you understand how she will perform the procedure and every detail of recovery. You truly feel as though you are her only patient! Hands down, the best, most skilled physician I have ever had. I would not hesitate to contact her again for another procedure and I highly recommend her.
I highly, highly recommend Dr. Fisher! After losing a significant amount of weight, I wanted to show my weight loss and muscle building work. I saw three plastic surgeons and left feeling underwhelmed. Then I made an appointment with Dr. Christine Fisher and spent more than an hour in her office on my first visit. She took everything I asked, explained, and hoped for seriously. I immediately responded to her warmth and confidence and was ready to begin the process of deciding what exactly we would do to show my work. This was my surgeon. After the procedure, her nursing staff became my team! I emailed with questions, I called and was always provided with solid solutions. The entire office knew me by name every time I walked in the door. I was (and am) so comfortable with Dr. Fisher’s office, I honestly miss our chats! The results were amazing! I have symmetry and perk again. I knew Dr. Fisher had succeeded with everything I had hoped for. I can’t imagine doing this with anyone other than Dr. Fisher. She is a consummate professional. I will never be able to thank her and her team enough for giving me a body I can relax in, not manage, a body I can show off instead of hide.
Hi NY. I am so sorry about your complications. I’m sure that your healing journey hasn’t been easy. I would address your concerns in multiple ways. Fat grafting can be done to improve the contour irregularities. In this procedure, we remove fat from a different area of your body, purify it and reinject carefully into these areas. I would also recommend a scar revision for the widened and scars with aggressive scar management with silicone scar therapy soon postop. Microneedling can also be done to treat scars. Finally the color of the scarring can be addressed with light therapy, IPL or BBL. A skilled aesthetic provider can help with this. Since your journey has already been hard, I highly encourage you to seek out a board-certified plastic surgeon specializing in surgery of the breast and body to hear your concerns and come up with a plan to reach our goals. I wish you the best!
Removing old implants at the time of a breast reduction is a common practice. If you feel like your breasts are now too large, as long as you have an adequate amount of breast tissue remaining, your implant can be safely removed. Whether or not you also require breast tissue removal or just a reshaping of your breast and nipple depends on the amount of breast tissue you have as well as your size goals. For patients who are happy with their natural breast tissue volume, I perform an “auto-augmentation”, conserving all of the natural breast tissue, while reshaping the breast and raising the nipples. I also highly suggest using an absorbable mesh, that creates an “internal support bra” and absorbs after about 18 months, leaving a collagen support behind and maintains the results over time. I always include liposuction to the lateral breasts and armpit areas in addition to a breast reduction to maximize the contour of the torso. As far as fat reduction of your arms, liposuction may be an option, but candidacy is best determined by an examination since you don’t want to reduce the fat in the area but leave behind loose skin which can be just as unsightly. Liposuction is done through tiny openings at your elbow, but if you require an arm lift "brachioplasty" to remove skin and fat, this is done through an incision on the underside of your upper arm. I highly encourage you to seek out a board-certified plastic surgeon specializing in surgery of the breast and body to hear your concerns and come up with a plan to reach our goals. Best of luck!
Hi Kiki! Liposuction to the breasts in lieu of a breast reduction is not a common practice. Contour abnormalities and loose skin after liposuction add to the unpredictability of this procedure. A breast reduction is the better option to reduce the volume of your breasts. I always include liposuction to the lateral breasts and armpit areas in addition to a breast reduction to maximize the contour of the torso, but not isolated liposuction. I highly encourage you to seek out a board-certified plastic surgeon specializing in surgery of the breast and body to hear your concerns and come up with a plan to reach our goals. Best of luck!
Hi Exciting! How exciting that you are taking this step to feel better. A breast reduction can be life changing. Most women with heavy breasts experience symptoms such as yours with back and neck pain, grooves in their shoulders from bra straps and rashes underneath their breasts. Ultimately they are your breasts and if you feel like they are too heavy, then I encourage you to seek out a reduction as well as the lift. A mastopexy (lift) only will raise the position of the breast and nipple on your chest wall, but will not change the heaviness of them. I also recommend the use of an absorbable mesh to create an internal support to help maintain your results over time. I highly encourage you to seek out a board-certified plastic surgeon specializing in surgery of the breast and body to hear your concerns and come up with a plan to reach your goals. Best of luck!
Hi MissMaddy. From your photos, you look to be a great candidate for a mommy makeover! The abdominoplasty portion will remove the excess tissue and midline scar from your abdomen and create slim and contoured midsection. I typically perform flank liposuction as well as a generous amount of contouring to the front of the abdomen that results in a nicely contoured torso. Not all surgeons to this amount of contouring and liposuction the upper abdominal rib fat at the same time as your tummy tuck, so be sure to have these detailed discussions with your surgeon. I also perform the muscle plication (repair) in multiple areas to ensure a tight abdomen deeper on the muscle layer. As far as your breasts, if you are happy with the overall volume of your breasts (ie, liking the size of your breasts in a supportive bra), then a breast lift would be sufficient to lift your breasts to a higher, more aesthetic position. For patients who are happy with the volume, I perform an auto-augmentation, conserving all of the natural breast tissue, while reshaping the breast and raising the nipples. I also highly suggest using a absorbable mesh, that creates an “internal support bra” and absorbs after about 18 months, leaving a collagen support behind and maintains the results over time. If you desire a larger breast volume, then you might want to also undergo an augmentation with implants along with the lift. Submental (chin) lipo can also safely be added to this procedure and can drastically change the neckline by slimming the area. Candidacy is best determined by an exam since you don't want to remove fat but leave behind excess loose skin. I highly encourage you to seek out a board-certified plastic surgeon specializing in surgery of the breast and body to see if you are a good candidate for these procedures. Best of luck!
