I never liked my side profile of my face maybe it's my nose or lips. What can I do to fix this? I always wanted to get surgery and still do to this day. I think there is no other way to fix it.
Answer: Profiloplasty Hello,Thank you for your question. A physical examination by the experienced Board Certified Plastic Surgeon could provide best options for you. Based on your limited photo you seem to be a good candidate for the Profiloplasty which is the aesthetic act used to improve the profile, making it more harmonious, in your case briefly a combination of Rhinoplasty and Genioplasty. Regarding rhinoplasty first functionality should be addressed, since the health is the priority. You may benefit of the overall reduction of your nose and tip refinement. To catch the harmony between the dorsum and the tip you might need a wing surgery, which is the removal of the excessive parts of the the alas. Your chin can be brought forward either by the chin implant or by the fat injection procedures. A balanced and natural looking nose can be achieved by the Closed and Atraumatic Approach, which minimizes swelling and bruises, maximizes healing, prevents tissue damage and eliminates a scar on the columella. Answer: What can I do to fix my side profile/nose/lips? Hello and thank you for your question and sharing your photo. You have an under-projected chin and will likely benefit from a chin implant, combined with neck liposuction. My best advice is that you discuss your concerns and aesthetic goals with a board-certified plastic surgeon. I would ask to see before and after pictures of their real patients. It's important that you trust your surgeon's skills and ability to achieve the results you are looking for. Best, Pejman Aflaki, M.D. Johns Hopkins-trained double board-certified plastic surgeon

Answer: Profile options Thanks for the question and photos to review. There are a number of different things tha cold be considered in order to improve your profile. Your lower jaw (mandible) is probably a bit weak and therefore your chin is also weak. In addition this has caused crowding in your neck. A good exam is in order. If this is indeed the case you might actually benefit from lower jaw surgery. This is mostly done by Oral and Maxillofacial surgeons but there are certainly Plastic surgeons who do this as well. It is fairly involved but can give remendous results. If you choose not to do that there are some other proedures which can "hide" te imperfections. This could include a chin implant and neck surgery (cervicoplasty or liposuction). Finally your nose is a little small in proportion so that raising the dorsum might give you better balance. Good luck.

Answer: What can I do to fix my side profile/nose/lips? Your profile can be improved with a combination of a r5hinoplasty and a natural appearing chin implant. Nasal cosmetic surgery and a chin implant are frequently performed together in the appropriate patient. The ideal aesthetic result should be individualized to achieve harmony with your other facial features and improve the areas that concern you. Whether a chin implant or a more extensive jaw surgery would be optimal depends on multiple factors including your desired outcome and personal anatomy. Keep in mind that following advice from a surgeon on this or any other website who proposes to tell you what to do based on a limited photo without examining you, physically feeling your tissue, assessing your desired outcome, taking a full medical history and discussing the pros and cons of the operative procedure would not be in your best interest. Natural appearing results need to be individualized and what is appropriate for one patient is not necessarily the best for someone else. I would suggest that you find a surgeon with extensive rhinoplasty experience certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and one who is ideally a member of The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) or a facial plastic surgeon (otolaryngologist) that you trust and are comfortable with. You should discuss your concerns with that surgeon in person. The extent and length of the procedure, cost, and the specific operative steps to achieve an ideal cosmetic result vary from patient to patient and would depend on the findings at your consultation examination.
