Can I do Rhinoplasty after I've done nose-threadlift 6 months ago?

Hello and thank you for your question. Any threads or other injected material can be safely removed at the same time as rhinoplasty.  Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and not just a computer animation system.  You should be able to view numerous pictures of actual patients with noses similar to yours performed by your surgeon.  If you cannot find enough real before and after pictures, then consider continuing your search for a surgeon. Hello and thank you for your question!The answer depends on the type of threads that were placed in your nose. If they are PDO threads, they should dissolve on their own after 6 months have passed since treatment. If an alternative type of thread was used, it can be removed during the rhinoplasty procedure; however, it may be ideal to have them removed as the latter surgeon suggested and to wait the few months. I recommend consulting again with the surgeon you have the surgery scheduled with in November to discuss the type of threads that were used and if they would proceed with the surgery (if they have experience removing threads) or prefer to postpone for optimal results.Best,Kian Karimi, MD, FACS
