If you have a very small amount of fat, you may be able to find a cost-effective way to combine treatment with travel. However, whenever you leave the US for a procedure, you are taking a risk because not all countries have the same safety measures we do. Also, CoolSculpting usually takes multiple sessions over a period of about three to six months. That means returning overseas many times or taking a very long vacation. If you’re determined to go abroad, go to the CoolSculpting site and find the equivalent of board-certified dermatologists who are recommended by Zeltiq. My personal opinion is that consulting with a board-certified dermatologist based in the US will ultimately save you more time and money and get you better results than bargain-shopping in another country.
Thank you for your question. My strong advice is to seek care in an office that has a board certified physician and experience with CoolSculpting procedures. Also remember that if you need follow-up care, travel expense should be considered. Best of luck.
Coolsculpting is available elsewhere, but you'll want to make sure it is a real Coolsculpting device. Keep in mind, for best results with Coolsculpting, a combination approach is needed. I recommend adding radiofrequency treatments like Vanquish for skin tightening and with Z wave/Cellutone for skin smoothing. However, Vaser with ThermiRF procedure is the best combination for a toned result, but requires more downtime. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
CoolSculpting is available outside of the United States. I would be sure the treatment is done with an actual CoolSculpting device though, as there are some knock offs in other countries. I am not certain of the cost of CoolSculpting outside of the United States.
DianaJ89:The CoolSculpting brand and technology has extended and is available worldwide. I would caution you to consider the training and experience of the practice over the appeal of a discount. While CoolSculpting is completely non-invasive, it is incredibly effective and if improperly performed, can create unintended indentations. I strongly advise going to a practice with highly trained/experienced CoolSculpting providers. Additionally, I would ask if they have been certified at CSU. One of the very unique opportunities for medical offices that offer CoolSculpting is the ability to send their staff to a CoolSculpting Training Center, also known as CoolSculpting University (CSU). The comprehensive programs at CSU teaches medical professionals from around the world the latest techniques and best CoolSculpting practices through the 3 day intensive training program. The most experience is here in the states but coolsculpting technology is reaching out worldwide. Be careful about imitation machines outside USA. For multiple areas, remember that you will need to treat most areas more than once, at least 30 days apart. Sometimes it is wise to concentrate on a couple areas at a time and complete them to see results.
I feel for you. CoolSculpting is an investment and sometimes CoolSculpting prices can be out of one’s budget. CoolSculpting cost is probably the same wherever you go. Allergan, the owners of CoolSculpting, price fix their procedure. All CoolSculpting providers abide by the pricing set by Allergen. Most charge 750$ for one cycle with a small applicator. However the lowest a provider can go while abiding by allergan’s pricing structure is $600. If you are seeing prices lower than that it is probably not for a real CoolSculpting procedure, but some knock off. The knock off treatments are shady. They lack the safety mechanism built into genuine CoolSculpting machines, they are less effective, and there is no way to determine if the provider has any idea about what they are doing to your body. I would steer clear.
Is is available outside the US: yes. Are there many knockoff devices outside the US that do not have the consistent safety data of the CoolSculpting device: absolutely (so be careful). Would it be cheaper: depends on the country and you factoring in travel/hotel/followup visits.
Thanks for your great question. Coolsculpting is available worldwide however, you need to make sure you are being treated by a reputable provider. Knock off devices are used in some countries and the results may not be the same. If you are traveling and have the procedure perform incidentally then there is no additional costs but, if you travel to only receive the treatment your costs per cycle will probably exceed your local costs. I charge a very reasonable fee of $600 per cycle and include Zimmer Radial Wave massage with each treatment to enhance results. Safe travels!
Coolsculping is a worldwide treatment and it is available in many countries. The treatment is not expensive, did you factor in traveling expenses, hotel stay and so on?
