I think this depends on each patient. I would not recommend in someone who is having active disease. For example, someone who has Crohn's disease with ongoing bowel symptoms of pain, bleeding, etc., I would not recommend until the symptoms have stabilized. I would recommend that you do a full evaluation with comprehenisive history, examination, and possibly appropriate blood tests to assess the risks and benefits.
Hi,This is a great question since it is not common. It depends on the underlying cause of the vasculitis. If the autoimmune vascuitis is related to Hepatitis C, then you should not get CoolSculpting. it is safe for most autoimmune diseases except those classified as cyroglobulinemia vasculitis. The exposure to cold can exacerbate a vasculitis in this situation.
Coolsculpting can be performed 3 or more times in an area safely. The limitations tend to be 1) is there pinchable fat and 2) is the skin sufficiently tight.
