My belly button is swollen and purple, is this normal at 4 weeks post-op? (Photos)

Swelling is normal and expected after a tummy tuck and this includes the belly button. It can take several more weeks for the swelling to resolve. The photo shows your belly button is a bit darker than would be expected. It is best to visit with your surgeon who is most familiar with the details of your surgery and how you've been progressing through recovery.

Hi McasYour navel does not look like it should at this time.  The fact that there is a sudden change raises at least a "yellow flag".I recommend that you contact your doctor and get in for a visit ASAP to get it evaluated.  This should likely resolve, but may need an intervention.Regards.sek
