Sharp “pulling” pain in swollen pubis mons area- what could it be? 12 days post TT with muscle repair.

Thank you for sharing your excellent question and I am sorry to hear of your mons area related pain.  Most likely the swelling in your mons is causing muscle irritation and cramping in your hip flexors or adductors causing your discomfort but only your surgeon can offer you the best advice as they know the full details of your operation.  Be sure to inform them of this pain.  Best wishes. 

Really only your surgeon is going to be able to accurately answer this question because only he or she will know what was done during the procedure.  It is likely, or perhaps possible, that you have an internal stitch that is pulling (this is how I do my tummy tucks, but every surgeon is different).  I would suggest calling your surgeon's office in the morning to gain better clarity and get advice.  Best of luck with your continued recovery!

You will have internal stitches in the pubic region which take most of the tension of the tummy tuck. These stitches pull the upper skin down and hold the scar down in the bikini line. These stitches don’t lie directly beneath the scar but may be lower down. Usually these stitches dissolve after 3-6 months.
However if you are in discomfort and you are concerned, please check with your surgeon and get a review. 

With your excellent poatop description I think only in person examination would allow a determination of the issues being presented here...
