Is there something I can do to treat the lumpy nodule that appeared after Kybella treatment?

Lymphatic massage may give improvement. It will take several weeks for final results with Kybella and it will need a combination approach. For best results with Kybella, I recommend a combination approach with thermage, ultherapy, exilis. VASER liposuction in combination with ThermiRF is an alternative for contouring the chin, if you're a candidate. Thank you for your question! This should subside, but be sure to have an examination. I would suggest following up with your injector regarding how to proceed. 

This can be typical and should resolve in time. Kybella take 1-3 treatments every 6 weeks.  Patient will develop swelling and possible bruising after each injection that may last a few days.  The benefit of Kybella is each treatment is quick and completed in the office. However, some patients need more than one treatment to get desired results. 

Hello there! Lumps can occur after fat destruction, and typically they resolve after a month or two. Your provider may have interventions available to help speed up the process in the meantime. We often follow Kybella with a few gentle applications of Cellutone to decrease inflammation and speed up recovery/fat reduction. Thank you for your question!  The lump, if caused by Kybella, will resolve on its own.  Gentle massage can help smooth it out and can be repeated several times through out the day.  Lots of times little "scar" nodules form in the treated area, they can take time to "heal".  Keep your follow-up appointments with your injector, there are interventions that can be done in the office to help speed up the healing, (cortisone injections could possibly help) but time really is the greatest healer in this situation.

Nodules after Kybella are not uncommon.  I would recommend just giving them time to resolve on their own.  You can have your provider inject them with Kenalog or other products, but I think the safest thing to do is just be patient.  Good luck.  

Hello Natynatynaty,It would be expected than any swelling or nodules from Kybella would resolve with time.  I haven't heard of it happening but if some scar tissue formed in the area then a steroid injection or 5FU injection may offer some benefit.  This would really depend on what the area feels like.  I'd recommend you continue to follow up with your doctor.  I hope this helps and good luck.  

Only after in person examination and maybe even an punch biopsy with pathology report would the possible treatment options be known. Which might be excision, injection of steroids, injection 5 FU?
