I had my first kybella treatment done with Dr.Longar. It was a great experience. She made me feel comfortable and explained the procedure throughly. I saw a difference from what my face looked like previously.
Hi Syrynn333, Sorry this happened! I always ask my patients to come back if they notice something unexpected or something they don't like after treatment with botox. Examples of problems could be injection site selection, dilution of product or even a "bubble" in the syringe. The good news is you are not resistant to botox. Generally speaking, if it works on one area, it should work where ever injected so it is worth a try to go back to the treatment that was working for you before when you were not completely frozen. Good Luck!
Hi azuureyes, I usually tell my patients to expect swelling in the lip area for 1-2 weeks. Lip injections do swell a LOT and it is often hard to tell how the final augmentation will look until after the swelling resolves. Try to wait 2 weeks unless of course you have additional symptoms other than swelling and reevaluate your lips when they have healed. If you are still unhappy, you can elect to have the filler dissolved.
Hi fogcitygrl, Thank you for your questions. To do a thorough assessment, we would need to see you in person, but from looking at your photos you appear to be an ideal candidate. Most patients in this practice need between 4 and 8 vials total with the treatments being spread out every 4-6 weeks, or longer if the patient prefers. What I recommend my patients who are open to surgery do is: consider both. Most of the time consultations are free or low cost and you will be able to make an informed decision based on what is right for you personally. Surgery is expensive, but so is kybella. One very good reason patients cite for going with kybella over surgery is that it is completely non-surgical and the changes are gradual.
Hi Selena 90, thank you for your question and photographs. I would advise you to return to your injector, you likely need a few more units on that side. However, an in-person assessment is necessary to determine what the specific cause is, especially if you got the same number of units in both sides.
Thank you for your question! Unfortunately, it is likely the botox that caused your situation. When the muscle under the eyelid is weakened, this type of "pooch" can occur. In time, it will wear off and you should return to your pre-botox appearance. I hope you returned to your injector to show him/her, they should know about your unpleasant outcome.
