Hi, last year i posted some photos on this profile, didn't really know what i wanted or what i could improve about my nose. I had a lovely doctor reach out but since i didn't know how to explain things, the morphs came out with a too small of a nose in my opinion. This year I've realized i have a bifid nose with extra cartilage and a cleft in between. But is it ugly? I am thinking about improving it because people have said i look like a horse. If anyone can reach out and do morphs i’d appreciate.
Answer: Rhinoplasty may be considered for a narrower and less projected nasal tip appearance. The reason you are seeing a cleft is because you have thin nasal skin. When we perform rhinoplasty surgery, nasal tip clefts always go away. If you have severe dissatisfaction with your nasal appearance for many years, please consider meeting with several reputable rhinoplasty specialists for an examination and an opinion is to what would be best for you moving forward. Thank you for your question. Sincerely, Dr Joseph

Answer: Rhinoplasty to improve shape... Based on your photos, you are a good candidate for rhinoplasty. Your tip is a bit bulbous, which can be corrected by rhinoplasty. But the question is how do YOU feel about it. Other people don't really matter here. If you would like it to be smaller, find a rhinoplasty expert to consult with.

Answer: Tip Reduction You have large domal and lower lateral cartilages that cause your nose to project more and also cause excess supra tip fullness. A reduction of these cartilages as well as suturing them together would result in a pleasing shape.

Answer: Rhinoplasty Unfortunately, you have not provided a complete lateral view. It appears your nasal columella angle is low and needs to be turned up and the tip needs to be refined. You would be an excellent candidate for a rhinoplasty. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Rhinoplasty Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photographs, you are a great candidate for rhinoplasty. Maneuvers for your surgery would include dorsal hump reduction, tip refinement, nasal tip deprojection, tip elevation, among other maneuvers. I highly recommend that my patients focus much more on real longterm before and after photographs rather than 3D imaging. I encounter so many patients in my practice who see me for revision rhinoplasty who previously had surgery elsewhere who feel like they were mislead into surgery by surgeons who relied heavily on 3D imaging without adequate real before and after pictures to back it up. Photoshop is easy but real surgery is very different. I always recommend that you carefully evaluate your surgeon’s online before and after gallery on their website for both quality and quantity of results. Make sure that there are hundreds of real before and after pictures which demonstrate long-term follow up results. If your surgeon is posting mostly on table results without real long-term follow up results, that is usually a major red flag. If a surgeon is posting mostly just splint removal day videos without longterm follow-up pictures, that can also be a red flag. Long-term results are much more meaningful than on table results or 1 week post-op results. With good surgical technique, you could have an outstanding result. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G.
