I broke my nose 7 years ago when I was 15, never realized anything happened, nor went out to seek help. Will plastic surgery ever make my face symmetrical, or should I accept the defeat?
Answer: Rhinoplasty Hi, It is better for you to consult with a facial plastic surgeon who can examine you and give you opinion based on your needs and expectations.

Answer: Please consider asking a question with better photographs. If you were concerned about a crooked initial appearance after nasal trauma, the best advice would be to visit several reputable rhinoplasty specialist so you can see what to expect after surgery. Your photographs do not clearly identify any significant asymmetry. I hope this helps. Sincerely, Dr. Joseph

Answer: Rhinoplasty with possible septoplasty You would benefit from a rhinoplasty with possible septoplasty. This can realign the dorsum of the nose to make it straight and correct the angulation of the tip. The procedure is an out-patient surgery that takes about 2 hours to perform under general anesthesia and costs $7,000. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: My nose is caving in and the bone has been shifting out recently, is this fixable? The nasal areas that you described and would like improved can be addressed with a nasal surgery (rhinoplasty) and a possible septoplasty which are typically done at the same time. A natural appearing nose can be achieved when the procedures are performed by an artistic plastic surgeon with extensive experience in nasal surgery. Keep in mind that following the advice from a surgeon on this or any other website who proposes to tell you exactly what to do based on a limited two dimensional photos without examining you, physically feeling the tissue, assessing your desired outcome, taking a full medical history, and discussing the pros and cons of each operative procedure would not be in your best interest. I would suggest you find a plastic surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and ideally a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) that you trust and are comfortable with. You should discuss your concerns with that surgeon in person. Robert Singer, MD FACS La Jolla, California
