How long does it take for Voluma filler to settle in cheeks, so it won't be able to shift?

I don’t usually recommend that  people sleep on their backs if they get Voluma, but then again it’s normal to shift and turn during sleep. If you’re under local anesthesia, you might be OK with Voluma, providing you can turn your head from time to time. But if it’s general, just wait to get your Voluma until after your inserts. Be sure to consult a board-certified dermatologist who is an expert with dermal fillers to get the best results.

Thank you for your question. Technically a filler looks its best and is set at the two week mark. This being said, it is highly unlikely the filler will move or distort just because you are laying on your face. Best of luck.

Hi BLiftTransfer,I would recommend against doing Voluma the day before your surgery. Typically, I tell patients to allow 2 weeks before considering the filler "settled." It may take less time than that, but I feel it is better to err on the safe side. So I would consider either doing your Voluma 2 weeks prior to your surgery or after your surgery. Best of luck!

Great Question.
Having said that it be unwise to go under general anesthesia the following day. Sleeping on your face the night of filler treatment is not a problem and we routinely DO NOT caution patients to sleep on their backs. However being under aesthesia for period of time where there is absolutely no movement and constant pressure on face is not good idea.
