The most swollen side was very painful when the cannula was inserted. Could damage have been caused? on Prednisone for 10 days now and also antihistamines/antibiotics.soon as I stop Prednisone for 1 day the swelling returns to my cheek and underneath both eyes and even my lips. My GP has organised blood tests but I can’t help but think it might be related to the filler. What could it be and how should it be treated. My face looks awful and I’m becoming increasingly worried.

Great question. The answer is that most of those devices do not melt fillers, but some can and it depends on where the filler was placed. Filler placed in many areas like the cheeks is deep to the skin (against the bone) and will not be affected at all. But filler placed within the skin...
