Face lift on 39 year old - Am I a candidate?

Looking at your photos, it does not seem that you have any skin or tissues laxity, you do not have jowls, and your jawline is straight, your cheeks have a nice shape and volume. I thin a face lift may be too much at this time. You can keep avoiding the face lift with fillers and some Botox, even threads do not seem to be necessary.

I don't recommend a facelift at this time, because you don't have enough skin laxity. I would recommend volume enhancement using a number of techniques ranging from fat to synthetic fillers which will help symmetry. Once facial aging progresses to skin laxity and dissent, I recommend a micro or many facelift.

Thanks for your question. In general, I try not to let one's age be the primary determining factor when deciding if he or she is a good candidate for a surgical facelift. Rather, there should be evidence of facial and neck aging that would make surgical intervention appropriate. In your case, based on the photos you submitted, I would suggest less invasive techniques either via volumization and/or focus on skin rejuvenation. Regarding your brows, your photos do not allow for proper evaluation. I wish you the best moving forward. I recommend seeking an in-person consultation with a board certified facial plastic or plastic surgeon regarding your concerns. 

Thank you for your question and pictures.  Your pictures show very early signs of ageing, so at this stage non surgical skin tightening (renevion) or skin rejuvenation (co2 laser) would help improve the appearance of your skin making you appear youthful and radiant.  Where you have started to lose a little volume this can also be replaced by dermal fillers or fat transfer.  Please have a consultation with a board certified surgeon to discuss your options.  I agree a facelift is not needed for yourself now.  All The Best 

Hi,As a general rule facial rejuvination is either non surgical or surgical, with patients usually starting on non surgical and possibly moving to surgical at some stage.The time for a patient to move form non surgical to surgical rejuvination is when the non surgical rejuvination will not achieve the desired result as it is not powerful enough. For different patients this will be at different times, and each patient need to be assessed and then informed as to the pros and cons and make a decision, as to if the procedure will achieve their goals. There is no age when this happens , though the more established the signs of aging the more likely the procedure will make a substantial difference and achiev the desired outcomeJeremy Hunt

Jessica Since facial threading has been a reasonable temporary fix for you, your next step may include mini facelift surgery. My favorite technique is the MACS short scar Mini-Facelift. Developed in Europe, it is the ideal approach for the younger patient, not ready for a full facelift, or patients who desire a less invasive procedure with a shorter recovery time. It addresses both the mid face area (especially the jowls) as well as the neck, if needed. With the photos you provided and your specific concerns, I don't think a facelift will be of much benefit to you. Facelifts are great for loose skin around the lower face, which you don't appear to have. There are simple techniques to lift the corners of the mouth with botox and filler. There are also several ways to improve the appearance of your smile lines without surgery. It is difficult to assess your brow in the photos you provided. Consultation with a board certified Facial Plastic or Plastic Surgeon would be a good place to start. Best of luck!

Lo que entiendo es que los surcos alrededor de su sonrisa es lo que no agrada, si no tiene secuela de acné y su piel no a caído aún,  no es candidata a lifting completo,  pero puede ser candidata a minilifting ,dependiendo de el foto daño de su piel y validas de esta. Le sugiero iniciar con radiogrecuencia y aplicar acido hialuronico en los surcos, ya que no es tan agresivo y por su edad hay que ser conservador . Baje la exposición al sol.

Your pictures show many good features and some minimal early aging.  One of the telltale signs of early aging is the relaxation of tissues in the cheek.  Subtle signs include a lengthening of the distance of the lower eyelid, and extra soft tissue between the nose and the corner of the lips.  There can be some relaxation of skin along the jawline as well.  Although a full facelift is way more than would beneficial for you at this time, elevation of the midface tissues might bring the change you are looking for.  I like an approach through the lateral brow that helps suspend tissues around the lower eyelid and cheek.  The incision is hidden within the hairline.  You may also want to use injectables like Voluma, to support cheek tissues for awhile until a surgery will be of greater benefit.  

You are most likely a candidate for some type of surgical rejuvenation since you have had threads and there is  a point where non surgical or minimally invasive procedures are less effective.I don't consider age the determining factor in decision making rather the clinical appearance and patients expectations.When you see an experienced surgeon they will likely benefit from you bring in pictures of how you looked previously in your late 20s and how you would like to look.
