Dr. Peters was fantastic. In our initial consultation I asked about a few different procedures - and we made a plan that achieved the most benefit with the least downtime and cost. She provided great guidance, letting me know what I would see the most gains from, and what would be unnecessary. Surgery recovery and post-surgical support were exactly as promised -- from a kind, compassionate and capable group of people. I love her whole team. And I love feeling good about my body in ways that are very new to me -- the healing from the surgery has been far more than physical.
I lost 100 lbs and was extremely frustrated because the remaining extra skin. Dr. Mary Lee Peters changed my life. I had a lower body lift and there are literally no word to express how incredible I feel. Dr. Peters is amazing at what she does and I could have asked for anyone better. I do know that for anything future Dr. Peters will be my only surgeon.
I loved Dr. Peters! I chose her based on a recommendation from a friend of a friend, and it was an amazing choice. Dr. Peters is very straightforward, knowledgeable, helpful, caring and kind, so much so that these traits are all incredibly clear during the first 1 hour consultation. She was happy to answer any of my questions, and helped me feel incredibly comfortable. Other plastic surgeons that I had met with previously never made me feel like they cared. She made me know that she cared about ME, not just my chest. Currently I'm about 8 weeks after surgery and I'm as back to normal as I could imagine, and incredibly happy with my results. On a more "logistics" side of things- I was able to get in for a consultation on very short notice (2 days thanks to a cancelled apt), and was able to schedule my surgery as soon as one month out. I elected to not go through insurance as I'd tried to multiple times before and was done with the whole process. Even so, Dr. Peters was ready to help fight the insurance companies with me to get me financial help. Again, it helped point to her caring about me, as here I was ready to pay out of pocket and she didn't want me to pay any more than necessary. I loved Dr. Peters, and my only sad thought now is that I'm now done with my appointments with her. She is a fantastic surgeon and doctor.
About two years ago, Dr. Peters performed my breast augmentation. Before my consultation, I checked out a lot of before and afters by Seattle-area doctors. I wanted to be pretty natural-looking. I could not be happier with the results. From consultation to post-op, she was down-to-earth, professional, and made me feel informed and at ease. Her specific recommendations about how to get my dream boobs far-exceeded my expectations. My before and afters are very comparable to several of the pictures on her website that made me interested in the first place. Also, all of the other staff I interacted with were lovely. This was the first and only surgery I've ever had. I really appreciated everyone I interacted with making me feel like my life (and boobs) were in responsible hands. I wouldn't change a thing. Thank you Dr. Peters and team!
I knew I wanted this procedure after my first baby but knew I wanted another child. It's been a year and a half after having my second child that I went in for the whole deal. After the consult I was quoted about 8k over the actual cost, there was no way I could have afforded that much! After a few days I got a call saying there was a mis- calculation. It was now something within reach. I've never had a great stomach or breasts, after my first I did get a mini-lift and augmentation. It was good until the breasts dropped within the first 30 days, wasn't aware of that! I'd score them a good 6 out of 10 at that time however. After my 2nd baby ( breastfed both), my nipples seemed gigantic and my tummy just wasn't fixable with diet and exercise; I did both constantly! I'm 5'3 and always hang around 135lbs to give you an idea. Even in my best fit state, I still had the drudged " mommy pudge" that just flopped over my pants. Needless to say I committed to a one piece to hide the stretch marks and extra skin. The mommy makeover went a lot faster than expected, it was about 6wks from my consult to my surgery date. My pre-opt was my second appointment scheduled two weeks before the D day. We talked about expectations and healing. Dr.Peters isn't one of those doctors who make you feel all warm and fuzzy. She was straight to the point and I almost felt like she was interviewing me rather than me interviewing her! I feel her style is to create a beautiful natural looking woman. I, on the other hand, wanted a more firm, harder, super high breast lol. I had doubts about my expectations and her capability; not that she wasn't great, but I doubted the results I wanted wasn't within her portfolio. I had originally found Dr Peters on Realself.com by the amazing work she's done, it's apparent in the photos. Once I reminded myself of that, I knew she was the doctor for the job. It wasn't about how she made me feel, but her talent spoke for her and I trusted it. Surgery day was dreadful I won't lie. I hated being clear minded, scared, and nervous the entire time. Previously, In my last augmentation, I had a sedative that seemed to have taken the edge off. Dr Peters insisted that I be clear minded. It all went to plan, I had a full tummy tuck, lipo of the hips, a full breast lift with implant replacement. That's about 6 hours under the knife. Looking back, that's a ton of recovery that I'm still going through. Cost wise it was cheaper and I was in good health to have them all done in one go. The process wasn't to painful with the meds and ibuprofen, but the down time and being uncomfortable is a major struggle. I slept a lot for the first three days then was more mobile the second week. The drains were so annoying but nothing compared to the compression garment needing to be worn for six weeks! My breasts really weren't any trouble, but the lipo felt like I was hit in the back with a bat. The lipo pain while trying to lay back with the tummy tuck soreness was tough! It really wasn't until week three that I felt better moving and could stand upright. I couldn't see most of the work until the bandages came off after two weeks. It wasn't pretty, but I felt like it looked better then what I've seen online. When the bandages come off the stomach incision .. woah.. it was just like a wax of the pubic hair!! Be prepared mommas. Everything looks really good to me. I'm healing great and I'm dying to get to the gym. Dr.Peters is no-doubt talented and I'm happy I went through with it all. My advise is to just be prepared for everything you and your family will need to go through to have this done. Im excited to see what I can do with this new body in the next 6 months. I've only dreamed of wearing a crop top . They say recovery is really 12 months for full results... Good luck! Updated on 17 Jan 2020: Not sure why my photos didn't post! I'm about 4-5 weeks post and my stomach is still tight, numb, and hard around the areas they cut. Can't wait to toss out my garment :). I went back to work after 3 weeks which was also over the holidays. I do recommend having help for the first 3 days.
Dr Peters is fantastic. She did a beautiful job and exceeded my expectations by a lot. I am so pleased with the results and recommend her if you are looking for a great Dr. She listens closely and was very precise with her work. I am so comfortable now and my clothes feel like they finally fit properly.
I had gastric bypass surgery in May 2017 and all together have lost 130 lb. This left me with a lot of excess skin including in my abdomen. I have inverse psoriasis which is psoriasis that occurs in skin folds. My excess skin after weight loss made this condition much worse. I saw Dr. Peters for an initial consultation and she listened to my concerns and explained the different options. I really appreciated that I didn't feel rushed and that she took a long time with me. I had my surgery on November 27, 2019. Immediately before going back to the operating room we talked again. My surgery and immediate postoperative recovery went smoothly. I had a postop appointment within a day or two of surgery. Unfortunately, I got active too soon after surgery and ended up with a set back. All through this time when I would call the office even after hours I always received a response within 30 minutes. This made me feel really safe and relieved my anxiety. The communication in Dr. Peters' office is amazing. Dr. Peters is really warm and caring and my results are beyond my wildest expectations. I cannot recommend Dr. Peters enough. If I decide to have further skin removal or other plastic surgery procedures I would not think of going to anyone but Dr. Peters.
Over ten years I had gradually lost 70 lbs through a change in diet and hard work via exercise; dropping to 145 from 214 left me with a noticeable amount of excess skin throughout my body, the area around my mid-section being the most apparent. Dr. Peters treated me with the utmost respect and instilled a sense of confidence and safety in the major procedure I underwent. She tailored the operation around my lifestyle goals, making sure my concerns were heard and never rushing me through any of the pre-op process. The actual skin removal was met with a clot complication, no fault of Dr. Peter's, and in this moment she made the executive decision to preserve my health in the long term. At no point did I feel truly scared or lacking faith in her ability (any scare I had was in my own head). When all was said and done I cried out of sheer happiness. I could see my belly button. I could wear a bikini. Scarring was as expected and is fading over time. Post op care and visits were of a high quality as Dr. Peters went as far as to answer my phone call with post-op concerns as late as 11pm at night. Though the healing process isn't fast I believe that I healed in a reasonable amount of time thanks to her efforts. I would readily recommend her services (and the Swedish Plastics office staff in general) for anyone seeking plastic surgery. Please accept my sincere gratitude for enhancing the quality and confidence in my life.
So far, wonderful. Dr Peters is kind and honest. I also love her PA kristy. I’ve been super happy with everything. She even fit me in a few days after my 1 week post op when I had some additional concerns. I would highly recommend her to anyone that wants a natural and proportionate look to their breasts. Updated on 10 Apr 2021: Bottomed out, rippling, asymmetry, and animation deformity. 335cc high profile round natrelle inspira submuscular Need major pocket repair and new implants :(
Love the breast reduction. I have so much less pain in my neck and shoulders, as well as fewer headaches. Doctor Peters is kind, listens, gives an honest assessment of possible results, and does great work.
Thank you for your question and photos. You appear to be young and healthy and to have good skin quality. You can have a very nice change with liposuction of your trunk, which would include your hips, back and upper and lower abdomen. Be certain to choose a plastic surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery who is well experienced in body contouring.
Thank you for your photos. Breast are never same with arms fully raised and at your side. This is true whether or not breast implants are present. You appear to have stretch of the breast fold on the right side, which leaves that implant sitting lower on your chest wall than on the left side. A capsulorraphy can restore that fold. You can discuss it with your plastic surgeon.
Often people carry more fat in their lower abdomen than in their upper abdomen. However, if during liposuction your surgeon only takes away unwanted fat from below, you may look odd if your weight changes. You may find you have too little fat below and a new bulge above the belly button. For most people, it is wise to choose liposuction of upper abdomen and the flanks at the same time as lower abdomen to provide the best contour.
Thanks for the photos. You should have substantial change with a tummy tuck. Repairing your diastasis will give you a batter waistline, correct the roundness of your upper and lower abdomen, give you better core strength and reduce the width of your abdomen on side view. Your belly button should have a more normal appearance following the procedure, and you will be able to remove the stretched skin of the lower abdomen. I strongly encourage your choice. Hope you have a great outcome.
This sounds suspicious to me. There is no evidence based proof that J plasma injections have any benefit at all except to the surgeon's pocketbook. I strongly recommend that you get a second or third opinion.
