I am looking to get face volume restored with fillers, as it became quite hollow over past year. Especially temples, but I have no wrinkles. I was expecting to get max 4 syringes to my whole face, but at consultation I was told I would need 7-8 syringes. I'm 28 and I'm attractive overall. I am trying to figure out if I really need that much? In fairness, I have acne scarring but was told the scarring won't be treated with fillers. Is it unnecessary upselling?
Answer: Voluma An in person consultation is really the best way to determine a person's needs based on goals and physical evaluation. A "rough" rule of thumb is one syringe for every 10 years of age. That would place you on average between 2-3 syringes. One of the great things about fillers is that you can start slowly and build up to the volume you are wanting to achieve.

Answer: Filler amount neccesary Hello, my name is Ranen and I work at Shah Aesthetics. Thank you for your question, it is a popular question. I think a good consultation is necessary to do and really get to understand what the patient is concerned with and understand what the patient want as their end result. I think it is a personal preference as to how much filler is needed. I would start off with 1 maybe 2 syringes and work from there.

Answer: Filler consult Thanks for your question! It is impossible to say how many syringes you will need without photos or examining you. I would try pouring 1 mL of hand sanitizer in your hand to see how much 1 syringe actually is. Cheeks usually take 4 syringes, 2 syringes for laugh lines and 2 more for jaw line which equals 8.... Make sure you consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. Good luck!

Answer: How many Voluma syringes Hello, and thank you for your question. Full facial harmonization/balancing requires several syringes. Each syringe is 1 ml, which is approximately 1/5th of a teaspoon. Realistically, 1/5 of a teaspoon can only be placed in so many areas to achieve results. 7-8 syringes may be an appropriate amount, but hard to determine without pictures or seeing you as a patient. You could always start with a smaller amount of filler and add more later if need be. I would suggest consulting with another practitioner to see if they have a different suggestion for you.

Answer: Cheeks -- Fat; Fillers like Radiesse, Juvederm Voluma/Vollure, Restylane Defyne/Lyft, Bellafill, Sculptra; Cheek Implants Facial sculpting and contouring of the face can be created with well-placed fillers (Voluma, Contour, Radiesse, Bellafill) and Sculptra, which would give improvement in facial balance. Fat or implants are alternatives. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer
