Would tip rhinoplasty be appropriate for me? (Photo)

Based on your photo, you are a great candidate for rhinoplasty. The tip usually droops when smiling because of a weakness of the tip cartilage and the muscles that are attached to the tip. Both of these things can be improved with rhinoplasty. Be sure to see a rhinoplasty expert for consultation.

You have a small dorsal hump and your nose is long. The nasal columella angle is too acute. You would benefit from a rhinoplasty with possible septoplasty to refine the tip of the nose, change the angle and flatten the dorsal hump.

Maneuvers for your surgery would include dorsal hump reduction, tip refinement, tip deprojection, tip elevation, among other maneuvers. Tip rhinoplasty controls tip projection and rotation as well as definition. In your situation, your appear to have a prominent dorsal hump as well and I would recommend hump reduction to compliment your tip.

If you are not addressing other parts of your nose, a tip rhinoplasty is NOT what you need. It will create disproportion. If it is only tip depression during smiling that is your concern, you might benefit from Jeuveau to your depressor septi muscle, or for more permancy, a removal or cutting of that muscle. Good luck!
