I am thinking of having a mini facelft + neck lift + fat grafting + upper and lower eyelid surgery. IMPORTANT - my profession is acting. In terms of recovery time, what is realistic for someone whose profession demands being on camera. It is important that I am able to work with a face that looks natural and real. I read so many different healing & recovery times and I just want to know what is a safe time to plan for recovery.
Answer: Facelift I don’t care for fat grafting in the face. It will maintain swelling linger with fat grafting and probably not accomplish much anyway

Answer: Physical Recovery and MindSet Recovery In terms of what you are having performed and lag time to the camera, I would suggest an 8 week window minimum, 12 weeks to be safe. Since this relates intimately to your profession, please do your research and choose your Surgeon wisely. I highly recommend Dominic Bray FRCSEd(ORL-HNS) on your side of the pond. I have presented at conferences with him and he does great work. Good luck!

Answer: 2-3 Months of Recovery Time Having this combination of facial surgeries is very common and something that I recommend often to my patients. It will save you multiple recovery times by combining them all into a single surgery day. Typically, I tell patients that it takes approximately 4 weeks to start looking “normal” and 2 to 3 months until you will look your best. If you are on camera, I would suggest waiting 3 months to be fully camera ready.

Answer: 6-12 weeks so it's very person specific so I can't give you an exact answer. Sometimes it's very much trial and error as to how long people take to recover. your surgery list is quite long and I think your upper and lower eyelids in combination with a face and neck lift will take at least six weeks before make up can cover up the signs. I expect in your industry people are very skilled in that type of cover up work and will have seen this situation many times before. The main difficulty, for you will be bruising in the early phases, first two weeks or so, and then lumpiness and unevenness with slightly more prominent scars over the next 6 to 12 weeks. Hopefully that answers your questions. I have a whole range of videos on this type of questions on my YouTube channel Adam goodwin surgery, if you want to learn more. Best wishes, Adam Goodwin

Answer: Full recovery from facial surgery To look your best after aesthetic, facial plastic surgery may require 3 to 6 months. Being presentable, without obvious signs of previous surgery may be achievable, and as little as six weeks. For example, if you have an acting job, then you should give yourself plenty of time to recover to let scars fade and All swelling be completely subsided. A lot of this has to do with how the procedure is performed. If you look at a lot of celebrities who have had significant facial procedures, like Sylvester Stallone, they had an operated look that lasted for at least a year. Finding the right provider is absolutely paramount.Rich and famous people seem just as bad at finding the best plastic surgeons as those who live more humble existences. I personally had a facelift and open brow lift and felt I was presentable to go back to seeing patients after five days. Upper eyelid blepharoplasty‘s can take a while, if too much skin is removed. Ask providers to show you examples representing different times of recovery. A sufficiently talented and experienced provider should have example pictures of what you will look like a different time frames after the procedure. If you’re in the hands of the right provider, they should be guiding you through this process with accuracy and predictability. Best, Mats Hagstrom, MD
