Could not be happier with the results - so happy I found this practice

I’ve had 2 procedures done at this office one with Dr. Maffi. I could not be happier with the results or of how I was treated by both Dr. Maffi and his staff. They are not only professional but very kind and understanding. I’ve recommended them to all of my friends.

Upper bleph performed in 2022 & a lip lift in 2023 with local numbing

I had an upper bleph performed in November 2022, and loved it so much I also saw Dr. Maffi in March 2023 for a lip lift! I am sooo happy with both procedures!! I did both in the office with local numbing (no anesthesia). So comfortable, zero pain, and made it easier for me to heal! I could not be more grateful and would definitely recommend Dr. Maffi to others!! I’m

I’m almost one year post op and so obsessed with my results!

I recently had an upper bleph at Maffi Clinic’s and from the front desk, to the patient care coordinator, to Dr. Maffi himself, the experience was amazing. I was incredibly nervous but the whole team was super responsive and handled my anxiety with care. Wendy (the PCC) responded to all my emails so fast which made me feel at ease. Dr. Maffi’s care, attention to detail, and light bedside manner made my experience one I will rave about to all my family and friends. I’m almost one year post op and so obsessed with my results! You cannot see my scars and no one can tell I even had eye surgery. Thank you Maffi Clinics Team!

A 5 star experience —Dr. Maffi is a truly gifted surgeon

If you are looking for the best experience and outcome... look no further. I had a face lift and laser treatment about a year ago and I am thrilled with the results. I now look as young as I feel. Dr. Maffi is a truly gifted surgeon, he meticulously addressed even the tiniest of issues as I healed, communicated clearly and truthfully throughout the process and the results speak for themselves. If you are considering turning back the clock, I wholeheartedly recommend this doctor and his amazing team. Sunshine, Bre and Kathy are professional, knowledgeable, responsive and they set the bar for excellence in their respective fields, and of course Hazan and Pricilla keep everything running!

Partial Neck Lift / Platysmaplasty/ Chin Lipo + Micro Sal

I have wanted to get rid of double chin for as long as can remember. Still in process but hopeful it will be better than it is now- I had extra swelling in the neck around the drain and did lymphatic massage. I am two months post op Updated on 4 Jan 2022: We started with a chin lipo and micro sal . Although my results were good, we knew I wanted it to be better. I am 53 and fighting time…Enter lower facelift, neck lift and fat transfer.Pics are prior to anything - and 6 weeks post op. Updated on 24 Jun 2022: They say you start to see the REAL results 6-12 months later. Remember I had the neck lipo and platysmaplasty and I wanted better results so I opted for redo- and full lower face and neck. By taking selfie’s as you go, you can see the changes. I have a light scar around my front of my ear (one side) that I will tattoo to match skin tone. Overall- very happy - would recommend. Somehow I can’t get more pics to download- Updated on 24 Jun 2022: As the facial swelling goes down, I started to see myself - PLUS the tightness and numbness I felt under my chin and jaw subsided and made me feel less conscious. I wanted to upload more pics- but somehow they are too large. I will be doing a very small 1-2 mm tattoo to mask a small scar over the right ear. I like wearing my hair up, and I feel confident to do so! Highly recommend doing what you feel you want to- it’s no different than braces, coloring your hair etc. Be prepared for a little bit of changing and settling. Best of health to you! Updated on 24 Jun 2022: I had wanted the double chin to be gone since I was 22… however, I waited a bit to long for a smaller surgery… My doctor was willing to work to try to match my desires with the less is more approach, and I am truly grateful. I sought several different opinions and got a variety of prices and suggestions. Some were inclusive of work I was NOT wanting. - Blepharoplasty or removal of glands etc. Doc did a platysmaplasty and micro sal lipo to begin with. Had some scarring areas (not keloids) and spots (hardened spots) we needed to redress and did them 4 months later after some healing. I was not fully satisfied with MY results after this redress and we discussed options. I opted for full neck and partial/ lower facelift with fat transfer. First surgery was $9,000 Scar revision (my choice for surgery center and anesthesia vs in office of NO Charge) $1800 Full neck / lower face / fat transfer $15,000 I am glad it was this way. Although it took “2 years” per real self- I am 9 months post the largest surgery and I feel thankful for the outcome. Everyone has their own process and outcome. Do your diligence on surgery and surgeons. You see them a lot and occasionally you will need a tweak. Their staff and their demeanor along with their skill are so important. I highly recommend Dr Maffi, Sunshine and all at Maffi clinic. They were patient, encouraging and excited for my outcome.

Referred to Dr. Maffi via the world-famous Dr. Daniel Baker.

A few months ago, I contacted the (Manhattan) office of Dr. Daniel Baker to ask for a recommendation for a plastic surgeon in the Phoenix area (I had, in the past, been a patient of Dr. Baker but, for this particular surgery, was in need of a plastic surgeon who was Arizona-based). For those readers who may be unfamiliar with Dr. Baker, Dr. Baker is a legendary plastic surgeon, who once graced the cover of (the erstwhile) Life magazine and who (among multiple other such feats) once reattached the dismembered hand of a 17-year-old New York girl, whose hand had been severed when she was pushed onto the subway tracks - as a train was fast approaching the station. After the girl (a flutist who was on her way to school that day) was removed from the scene and the train was moved from where it had come to a stop, police officers found the girl’s hand lying between the subway tracks and swiftly sent the hand to the girl’s hospital on some ice (which they had obtained from a bar nearby). At the hospital, Dr. Baker and his team were able to successfully reattach the girl’s hand - after a 16-hour operation. The above preamble is just to explain that, when it comes to plastic surgeons, my standards and expectations are rather high (with Dr. Baker also happening to have invented, on the cosmetic surgery front, a groundbreaking facelift technique - the kind of technique, it should be clarified, that makes it into the annals of plastic surgery history... not one of those catchy-named, “proprietary” techniques, of which one can find myriad advertised these days). So, when a member of Dr. Baker’s staff (the very gracious Shannon Hayes) took the time to reply to my request and send me an email with Dr. Maffi’s name, that recommendation, needless to say, carried a lot of weight. Unfortunately, after Shannon emailed me Dr. Maffi’s name, I was (not surprisingly, I guess) forced to wait several months for an appointment with Dr. Maffi, whose agenda, as I discovered, always happens to be very full. The good thing about the long wait was that, by the time I finally got to meet Dr. Maffi (the morning of March 7th), I had already had the chance to interview and research several other Phoenix area plastic surgeons (including a few with big presences on RealSelf) and was quite familiar with what my other choices might be locally. After meeting Dr. Maffi, I booked a surgery date right away (for a facelift). I found Dr. Maffi to be (like Dr. Baker) very genuine, direct, self-assured, confidence-inspiring, and self-possessed (as well as a man who keeps his ego in check). My original surgery date was to have been in late May (again - a bit of a wait), but, about a week after my first appointment with Dr. Maffi, I received a call from Dr. Maffi’s (indefatigable, good-natured, and always eager to help) patient coordinator, Wendy Krause, alerting me that a patient had just cancelled an early April surgery date - after a skiing mishap. So, naturally, I grabbed the early April slot straightaway and met again with Dr. Maffi in mid-March for my pre-op appointment. It bears noting that, once you become Dr. Maffi’s patient, he becomes very available to you. For example, right after my pre-op appointment, a burning question popped up in my mind - regarding the degree of improvement I could expect in terms of the nasolabial folds and marionette lines, and I really felt the need to have Dr. Maffi show me, with his hands, the level of lift that I might expect. So, I called Dr. Maffi’s office, and they made a space for me to see him - as his first patient, the following day (it should be noted that, by that time, I had already pre-paid in full for my surgery - so it was not as if they were trying to “clinch the deal”, so to speak). In the same vein, Wendy, the (very patient) patient coordinator, also made herself available seven days a week (via phone or email) to answer even the silliest of questions (on a side note, after one’s surgery, one is also given Dr. Maffi’s cell phone number - just in case). I had my facelift surgery two weeks ago, and, even though I only had a facelift performed and nothing more (not even a fat transfer), the surgery took about 4.5 hours to complete. The length of the surgery had to do, in part, with the fact that my inner tissues turned out to be unexpectedly fragile and thin, which made the operation more time-consuming and challenging. Additionally, Dr. Maffi regularly takes over an hour just to do the stitching (for a facelift) - as his stitches are famously tiny. After the surgery, I stayed at the recovery center next to Dr. Maffi’s clinic for three nights (that was purely my choice - as Dr. Maffi only requires a one night stay). And, during my three-day stay, Dr. Maffi came to check on me multiple times. Then, the morning after I left the recovery center, I became very concerned about what (to my untrained eye) appeared to be very odd and bumpy swelling. So, I called Dr. Maffi’s office in a state of alarm, and Dr. Maffi very graciously agreed to see me that very morning (he fit me in between surgeries). When I saw him, Dr. Maffi reassured me that the swelling that I was experiencing was totally normal and that, with time, it would go away (it is actually much better, already). The following day (a Saturday - no less), Dr. Maffi called me at home to check if I was doing okay. A few days ago, I had my stitches removed by Dr. Maffi’s nurse (the aptly named) Sunshine Coppock. Sunshine (an Angie Harmon doppelgänger) is not only true to her name due to her warm and sunny nature but also because of her very illuminating answers and explanations to any and all surgery-related questions. Plus (for those who may be wondering why Dr. Maffi does not remove the stitches, himself), it should be noted that, in addition to being very skilled at (among many other things) removing stitches (not an easy thing - given the minuscule size of Dr. Maffi’s handiwork), by the time one sees Sunshine for stitch-removal, one is already very familiar with her - as she is present in most of one’s appointments with Dr. Maffi. This morning (with today being a Sunday), after I washed my hair, I found some blood spots on my white towel (emanating from one of my ears). I immediately texted and called both Dr. Maffi’s and Wendy’s cellphones. A few minutes later, I heard back from both of them, and, a half hour after that, I was lying at Dr. Maffi’s clinic - having a few stitches added to my bleeding ear by Dr. Maffi (and a few extra stitches as well to the other ear - just to be safe). Additionally, Dr. Maffi checked all of my incisions/scars (which I was glad to hear were healing well). Dr. Maffi said that his office would contact me to book an appointment for a week later to have the stitches removed - plus another appointment (with him) in two or three days-time, so that he could check that my new stitches were doing fine. So, it goes without saying that I am extremely pleased with my choice of Dr. Maffi and I am deeply grateful to him and his team for taking such great care of me. Naturally, I am very thankful, as well, to (Dr. Daniel Baker’s) Shannon Hayes for steering me Dr. Maffi’s way; for, even though Dr. Maffi is evidently quite well-known in the Paradise Valley orbit (with, for example, Bentleys parked in the visitors’ spots outside his clinic being a quite common sight), Dr. Maffi (like Dr. Baker) does not assiduously promote himself on sites like RealSelf - such that, without the help of Dr. Baker’s staff, Dr. Maffi would not have been so easy (for a non-local like me) to find.

Dr. Maffi and his staff are the best!

After three pregnancies, lots of weight gain and weight loss I was ready to trade in pancake boobs and flabby tummy. I consulted with six separate board certificated plastic surgeons and felt Dr. Maffi was the perfect fit for me. Dr. Maffi was the only doctor I saw that didn’t suggest any “extras”. He actually wanted to do less than I actually wanted (I requested on top of a full tummy tuck with lipo, a breast lift with implants and liposuction on my thighs. He said no to the thigh lipo because he worried about my skin integrity. I could not be happier with my results and his staff is amazing! The front office staff welcomes you by name, everyone at the surgical center was friendly, helpful and genuinely cared about you. Feeling grateful for choosing Dr Maffi!!Updated on 15 Jan 2018: My healing is going better than expected. Backache would be my number one concern. I believe all of the vitamins Dr. Maffi has you take really have sped up the recovery process. Looking forward to continued healing over the next week. Tomorrow will be my second pre op appointment - hopefully drains will be taken out. Updated on 19 Jan 2018: Healing is going well. I am struggling with standing up straight and lower back pain but still thrilled with my results.Updated on 25 Jan 2018: I am healing and so happy with my results. I do wish I had more energy! Simple things like picking my children up from school and laundry completely exhaust me. Spoke with Dr. Maffi about it and he said it was completely normal, this was a big surgery and I need to continue taking it easy. I realize I am only two weeks out, but it is hard when you start feeling better, you expect yourself to be able to do more. Again, so happy with my results. By the end of the day I am very swollen but in the morning wow - holy flat tummy:)

$1,500Halo Laser

Halo is a Life-changer!

I've had multiple fractional laser treatments in the past, but after doing a ton of online research I decided to give the Halo laser a try. I was looking for reduction in fine lines, a more even skin tone, and a younger look. Here are the reasons I love Halo versus the other lasers I've tried: -MUCH faster recovery; in the past I've had to take a week off work post-laser, but with Halo I felt fine going to the grocery store after 3 days. 1.5 months after the procedure I am still a bit red, but overall the recovery was much easier. -AMAZING results. I have never posted a Realself review before, but after this procedure I had to! My husband is one of those guys who doesn't even notice if I cut six inches off my hair, but he made a comment two weeks after my Halo treatment about how great my skin looked. It GLOWS. The texture is smoother. The fine lines are much lighter and barely visible. CONS: -I had a pretty strong treatment done, and it was very painful in comparison to other lasers. Not intolerable, but still very painful. Would I do this laser again? YES. Worth every penny. Bre at Maffi Clinics in Paradies Valley, AZ is incredibly knowledgeable and very sweet. I've already purchased another treatment so I can get the procedure done again this summer!

Have Wanted to Do This Since I Was 40 - 14 Years Later - WOW - Scottsdale, AZ

This was the biggest no deal I've ever had done. I've had DENTAL work that was worse. OMG - I'm SO happy!!! First, I had the procedure done at Dr. Maffi's office in Scottsdale. He did my sister's eye surgery - upper and lower and it looks fantastic. So I just really needed blephroplasty. I am SERIOUS. I have had mole removal that was more stressful. In just over 30 minutes, I was in a chair, getting numbed - just slightly more burning than Botox. Then covering me, measuring, cutting, cauterizing and voila! New lids! I took a Valium and 1/2 a Pecoset before the procedure and just relaxed me enough to not be nervous. The staff was so pleasant and it was just a non-event. Seriously. My friend said, "You're done already? You feel O.K.?" That's because it was only 30 minutes later. I was absolutely fine. Came home and rested w/peas on my eyes for the next 8 hours while listening to NPR. I had some slight pain for about the first 4 hours and took the other half of the Percoset. As of yesterday, less than 12 hours later, I have almost no bruising - even two days later. I have not much swelling, no discomfort, no dry eye. Just redness and swelling that will come from such a procedure. I can ALREADY see more as a result- literally more 180 sight as a result of the eye tissue not being there. I'm so happy. I can't wait to keep posting pics. I am ecstatic. Updated on 8 Nov 2014: Second day looking good! Updated on 9 Nov 2014: I'm healing up so fast, it's scary - almost no bruising left - swelling is ebbing but day four now, my stitches are driving me crazy - itch, itch, itch! Three more days Updated on 9 Nov 2014: First four days Updated on 10 Nov 2014: Less swelling, redness, bruising is almost all gone. BUT stitiches starting to drive me CRAZY - 48 hours - ggggrrrrrrrr Updated on 12 Nov 2014: I cannot wait. Eyes are healing very well..... Updated on 13 Nov 2014: This is my first day with make-up - still some lid swelling and the scarring will smooth out in time. Eyelids are numb and it was funny putting on make-up because I couldn't feel it, but I see the difference in only a week's time. Updated on 17 Nov 2014: My eyes are now so open and I have lids again, so I had to ditch the harsh black eyeliner and the dark gray shadow I was using to make my lids look less droopy! Can't believe it's only been 12 days. Updated on 2 Apr 2015: I am still so happy with the results - it's been 4 months and I'm thrilled - would do again in a heartbeat. This photo is one I took in hair and make-up to play Marie Lombardi in the play Lombardi. I just can't believe how open my eyes are now....so happy Updated on 19 May 2016: Was the easiest thing I've ever done! 30 minutes in a chair - wide awake - and I never had any pain, never discomfort except for day seven right before my stitches came out. I didn't bruise (although some do). In 7 days I lost 10 years. I cannot recommend this procedure ENOUGH.
