Would a mini face and neck lift address my issue? (Photo)

Question

I’ve never had a defined jawline despite always being a healthy weight. Currently I’m bothered by the fatty areas on the jawline. Is this something I should address with a mini face and neck lift or should I be considering a chin implant? (or something else?).

I appreciate your concerns, but it appears from your photo that your best option may be just micro liposuction of your jawline and neck regions. I utilize small cannulas, which allow removal of fat and improved definition of the neck and lower face. A chin implant may also be an option, but in person evaluation will be needed. You would benefit from a chin implant, possibly liposuction of the neck and possibly a necklift.  You would need to examined to see how much fat you have there and the position of the hyoid bone.

I think you are a good candidate for a facelift and I would just do a standard facelift. I’m not crazy about chin implants and don’t think you need one

A mini facelift will not address your issue, since mini facelifts give mini results. Consider placement of a chin implant to augment your recessive mandible forward for better facial balance and proportions. Since you have both jowls and fat deposits located in your neck below the platysma muscle, you're going to require a lower face and neck lift procedure.
