Lip filler gone wrong. What are my best options going forward?

Hello, I had lip filler for the last time almost 3 years ago, and it just won't dissolve. It's migrated around my top lip and it's also caused my lips to be wonky. The practioner I went to also did them on 2 or 3 other occasions all around 9-12m each time before the last time in 2020. I'm really concerned as to why it isn't dissolving or even reducing after so long. Does this mean a dodgy product was used and what are my best options going forward? Thank you

On the other hand, if as you say you were filled with "dodgy" products, all bets are off. What is critical is to understand what fillers you recieved. Legitimate fillers keep medical records. Are there medical records and have you obtained these? Have you had hyaluronidase to remove these fillers? If so, what dose was used. Often well meaning injectors underdose the amount of enzyme they use for the removal of these products. A photograph would be very helpful to actually understand your situation. Lip filler will have varying longevity depending on the product used, however they should be metabolized three years later.  If HA filler was used it can be dissolved using hyaluronidase.  I encourage you to visit with an expert injector to determine if product is still present.

If you don’t trust your plastic surgeon, who injected your lips, I would recommend that you go to another plastic surgeon for an evaluation in person. Also, bring the records if those are available from your prior Plastic surgeon. If hyaluronic acid fillers were used, then, using hyaluronidase will dissolve the unwanted product.
