Breast implants removed - textured and use of drains?

Having breast implants 4 years after removal would not be a problem. Drains may need to be placed depending on the scar tissue in the pocket and any bleeding. if interested, I would consult with your plastic surgeon.

Thank you for your questions. You still may have a capsule on the nonruptured side. This may impact a surgeons decision to remove it, drain, and/or change pockets. The side that had the capsulectomy probably would not warrant a drain.

If you decide to have breast augmentation again it would be similar to your initial surgery. After four years your breasts have fully healed. Typically drains are not required for breast augmentation. Meet with a board certified plastic surgeon near you for a consultation to learn more.

At 4 years with no implants, you will be almost starting over with implants. Drains should not be needed and you can go with smooth implants.
