Hello I have a Brazilian butt lift in two weeks and have accidentally lost weight. Is it worth trying to put on weight with two weeks to go or is it too late ? I am average BMI When do I stop trying to put on weight - as in how long after you eat does the body turn it to fat ? Also should I be taking any vitamins now to help my skin heal when I have the surgery? Thank you for your time
Answer: BBL candidate? Thank you for your question. To provide a valid medical opinion I will need to see pictures of you body from different angles. I would suggest to be treated by board certified plastic surgeon with experience in this procedure, to get the best desired results. Respectfully, Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-

Answer: Weight loss before a BBL I would not try to put weight on if you are at an average BMI. It is most likely that you have sufficient fat and the weight loss will IMPROVE your results. In my experience most patients tend to overestimate the amount of fat needed for a BBL and they put weight on but it just is stored internally and can't be used for the BBL anyway and prevents patients from getting as flat as they would like.

Answer: Liposuction BBL Fat Transfer Lipo Autologous Fat Transfer Tummy Tuck VASER HI-Def Liposuction Thank you for your question regarding losing weight before your Brazilian Butt Lift. I'd say it's absolutely worth trying to put the weight back on before surgery. The more fat the surgeon has to work with, the better results for you. Keep in mind that only about 70-80 percent of the fat survives during fat transfer to the buttocks so you want to have as much fat to transfer as possible. Two weeks is enough time to gain weight. I would recommend eating fast food, sugar, and carbs to gain weight. Vitamin C is good but you can't take it up to two weeks before surgery. After surgery, you can take a multivitamin. It will also be important for you to hit your protein intake post-surgery. Thank you for your question regarding losing weight before your scheduled BBL. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen. Answer: I lost weight, is it worth trying to put it back on for BBL? Hello @ChasingFOY, thank you for your question. You don't need to gain more weight to have a BBL or gluteal lipoinjection. In fact, gaining more weight would alter the results. In BBL, fat from other areas of the body is transferred to the buttocks, so if you gain weight before the procedure it won't be as effective as when you are your normal weight. As for your last question the supplements or vitamins you need to take are the ones prescribed by your specialist. For more information and recommendations, it is prudent to consult with one or several board certified plastic surgeons. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS. Answer: Gaining weight for surgery is a bad idea Thanks so much for reaching out. I think that gaining weight for your surgery is a bad idea. Unless you are under weight or malnourished. Are you going to surgery at an even wait not in the mist of a rapid weight loss or a rapid weight game. Your body needs to be in a stable position to heal its best
