I’m having my implants removed 4 weeks after augmentation as I feel like it was a mistake and I want my breasts back. I’m 33 years oldnever had kids and the quality of my skin was good pre-op. I was 34 A before and I got Mentor 350cc moderate plus xtra textured implants under a muscle. My question is, is there going to be any capsule formed around the implant already which should be removed together with an implant or it’s ok just to remove the implants itself. Will my skin bounce back too? Thx!
Answer: Capsule after augmentation There will be a capsule but it will be very very thin and impossible to remove. It is your own tissue and will not cause you any harm to leave it there. So it is fine to just remove the implant and close the incision. Your skin tissue should retract as you have only had the implants for a month but sometimes their is some shape change as the skin sticks back down to the pocket but it is very hard to predict this.

Answer: Capsule formation after 4 weeks At 4 weeks there will likely be a very thin, immature capsule film starting to form. It is likely so thin at this point that there is no need to worry about removing every last bit of it. It would likely cause more damage than benefit to be aggressive with capsule removal at this point. Also, being only 33 years young, your skin has good elasticity and will likely bounce back pretty nicely. Of course there is a risk it got a little stretched out but unlikely to a significant degree. Good luck!

Answer: Implant Removal 4 Weeks Post-Augmentation: Capsule Formation and Skin Recovery It’s completely understandable to reconsider your choice and want to reverse the augmentation at this stage. At 4 weeks post-op, the formation of a capsule (the natural scar tissue around implants) typically has begun but is usually very thin and not fully developed. In most cases at this early stage, extensive capsule removal (“capsulectomy”) or en-bloc explantation generally isn’t necessary or beneficial. Typically, surgeons remove just the implants themselves, leaving minimal residual scarring inside. Given your age (33), good pre-operative skin quality, and the relatively short period your implants have been in place, your skin elasticity is likely still excellent. Usually, patients in a similar scenario see their skin and breast tissues bounce back nicely, returning close to their original appearance. However, exact outcomes vary individually. It’s important to discuss your expectations and concerns directly with your surgeon, who can provide guidance tailored specifically to your anatomy and situation. I hope this helps clarify your concerns. Consulting closely with your surgeon will provide the best approach. — Güray Yeşiladalı, MD

Answer: No worries, Kylie So sad to about your dissatisfaction, Kylie. Breast implant removal is a very easy and, in the right scenarios, rewarding operation. Simple removal is performed in the office, using local anesthesia only. Occasionally the patient may ask for an oral sedative but unless she is s nervous wreck , it really isn't needed. There is no need to miss meals. You do not need a driver and it can be performed without taking days off of work or your usual activities. The existing incision suffices without adding new incisions. No drains are needed. And because it is performed without an anesthesiologist, the cost are significantly reduced compared to the cost of you previous primary augmentation.

Answer: Early Explant Believe it or not, by 4 weeks post implantation, your body has in fact already started forming a capsule around the implant. In my opinion, it should be removed, because once a capsule forms your body will not absorb it.

Answer: 1 month Thanks for your question! It takes some time for that capsule or scar tissue to form. You should be fine to just remove the implant. I'm sure that you skin will bounce back as long because you didn't have a huge implant. Good luck!
