I’m having my implants removed 4 weeks after augmentation as I feel like it was a mistake and I want my breasts back. I’m 33 years oldnever had kids and the quality of my skin was good pre-op. I was 34 A before and I got Mentor 350cc moderate plus xtra textured implants under a muscle. My question is, is there going to be any capsule formed around the implant already which should be removed together with an implant or it’s ok just to remove the implants itself. Will my skin bounce back too? Thx!
Answer: Capsule after augmentation There will be a capsule but it will be very very thin and impossible to remove. It is your own tissue and will not cause you any harm to leave it there. So it is fine to just remove the implant and close the incision. Your skin tissue should retract as you have only had the implants for a month but sometimes their is some shape change as the skin sticks back down to the pocket but it is very hard to predict this.

Answer: No worries, Kylie So sad to about your dissatisfaction, Kylie. Breast implant removal is a very easy and, in the right scenarios, rewarding operation. Simple removal is performed in the office, using local anesthesia only. Occasionally the patient may ask for an oral sedative but unless she is s nervous wreck , it really isn't needed. There is no need to miss meals. You do not need a driver and it can be performed without taking days off of work or your usual activities. The existing incision suffices without adding new incisions. No drains are needed. And because it is performed without an anesthesiologist, the cost are significantly reduced compared to the cost of you previous primary augmentation.

Answer: Early Explant Believe it or not, by 4 weeks post implantation, your body has in fact already started forming a capsule around the implant. In my opinion, it should be removed, because once a capsule forms your body will not absorb it.

Answer: 1 month Thanks for your question! It takes some time for that capsule or scar tissue to form. You should be fine to just remove the implant. I'm sure that you skin will bounce back as long because you didn't have a huge implant. Good luck!

Answer: Capsule formation after breast augmentation surgery! Thanks Kylie25 for your question! It's normal for a thin capsule of scar tissue to form around breast implants. However, at four weeks post-augmentation, the capsule is likely still quite thin and soft. In most cases, removing the implants themselves should be sufficient. Your surgeon will be able to assess the specific situation during the procedure. Most importantly , removal of capsule is not needed in every case. Depending on personal characteristics including age, skin elasticity, and the degree of tissue stretching during the first operation, your skin's capacity to "bounce back" following implant removal may differ. It's crucial to manage expectations even though many patients see a return to their pre-surgery appearance. The following variables affect skin elasticity and recovery: -Age: The elasticity of younger skin tends to be higher. -Skin Quality: Skin that is inherently elastic could heal faster. -Tissue Stretch Extent: Excessive stretching might affect the skin's capacity to regain its natural form. -Post-Operative Care: You may maximize healing by according to your surgeon's wound care and recovery recommendations. -Talking to your surgeon about your worries is crucial for the most precise and individualized information. They may provide you precise information regarding your situation, such as possible dangers, advantages, and anticipated results. Hope this was helpful! Answer: Capsule formation after breast augmentation Hello and thank you for your question. Everyone's body responds slightly differently but in general there is capsule/scar tissue formation that begins to happen in the first few weeks after implant surgery. More than likely this will be a very thin, soft tissue which will be benign to leave in place after explantation. Some surgeons perform some "scoring" of the capsule scar tissue after explantation to get better adhesion and healing of the two layers after removing implants. Good luck with your journey!
