She would like to go slightly bigger with more projection. I'm wondering is this possible with placement under the muscle and what implants would be best.
Answer: Breast implants It is difficult to answer without a picture or information about her current implants. How long ago was her last surgery? If her breasts are not too tight then an implant exchange is possible and there are high profile implants that are available to 800 cc. It is best that she meet with a plastic surgeon who can examine her and determine the best implant choice.

Answer: My wife already has 500cc high profile implants (mentor) placed under the muscle. Any suggestions? I would not recommend going larger as 500cc are already too large. Larger implants will increase her risks for complications down the line. Should she decide to go larger, they will look great initially, but then experience faster decent and once again loose projection and require a lift sooner than later. Remember, the laws of physics do not cease to exist in the human body.Best wishes to your wife.Sincerely,

Answer: My wife already has 500cc high profile implants (mentor) placed under the muscle. Any suggestions? Thank you for the question. Keep in mind as you are thinking about your goals that sometimes adjustment of the breast implant pockets (capsule adjustments) may be necessary to achieve the outcome you are looking for. Generally speaking, the best online advice I can give to ladies who are considering revisionary breast augmentation surgery is: 1. Concentrate on choosing your plastic surgeon carefully. Concentrate on appropriate training, certification, and the ability of the plastic surgeon to achieve the results you are looking for. Ask to see lots of examples of his/her work. 2. Have a full discussion and communication regarding your desired goals with your plastic surgeon. This communication will be critical in determining breast implant size/type/profile will most likely help achieve your goals. In my practice, the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) is very helpful. I have found that the use of words such as “natural” or "slightly bigger” or "D or DD cup" etc means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful. Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired cup size may also be inaccurate. 3. Once you feel you have communicated your goals clearly, allow your chosen plastic surgeon to work with you in determining the best plan to achieve your goals. I hope this, and the attached link (dedicated to revisionary breast augmentation surgery concerns), helps. Best wishes.

Answer: Going slightly bigger A consultation in person would be needed to more precise, but speaking in general there should be no problems going bigger, within reason, and keeping the new implants in submuscular position. My personal rule of thumb for breast reaugmentation is to go at least 50% bigger in order to see a difference, which means your wife should look at implants around 750cc in size. Considering that she would also like more projection, using ultra high profile implants should be the best choice. Mentor offers a very good range of ultra high profile implants, so I would recommend staying with the same brand. Good luck!
