How long until redness and bruising subside after nasal fillers?

Question

Two days ago I got Juvederm in the bridge and tip of my nose. The bridge is slightly bruised but the tip is completely red. I’ve had nasal filler before but I have never had this issue. For background I had a former history of having a nasal drug issue. Could this be in any relation to my problem now? The tip of my nose is very very red but the shape looks nice.

Your question is difficult to answer without a picture. Though, redness and bruising can be seen after filler injections, the nose is an area which is at risk for vascular compromise after filler injections. The best thing to do is see your injector ASAP for an in-person examination. Best wishes.

It's too soon to tell what your final results will be. I recommend following up with your Doctor for a formal evaluation and after care recommendations if you're concerned. Swelling can last 1-2 weeks after filler injections. If you're unhappy with your final results, you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Redness and bruising can occur after filler injections.  However, especially without a picture, it is difficult to assess or comment on your situation.  I would recommend that you follow up with your injector and discuss your concerns.

Having submitted a set of photographs would have been very helpful. You have to be careful with fillers in the nose for two reasons in your case, one of them is your prior history or drug use. I would contact your treating physician to at least have a follow up and make sure this is nothing serious such as necrosis or an infection. Good luck from New York City

Please allow 2 week for yourninjection sites to heal. The skin to the nose is extremely thin so any irritation or trauma can be seen easily in comparison to other parts of the face. Give the treated area more time then see what happens. As long as you don’t see more red or black, then you’re on the right track.
