its been 6 months. The doctor provided it says it is an allergic reaction. Another doctor says its not injected deep enough. Will it be like this forever? Can it be fixed. The doctor who injected it, does not answer my requests.

Answer: Juvederm volite reaction Best to always seek the opinion of a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon. As far as I’m aware Juvederm Volite is not yet available in the US. If you were injected in the US I would forst question if you really did receive Volite. Counterfeit products are plentiful and may not be what the importer (illegal) believes them to be. If this was done outside the US then I wonder, given the distress it has caused, why the physician did not offer to attempt to dissolve the elevated lines with hyaluronidase. I noted you had these raised areas very soon after the injection ( one week?) and they have now persisted beyond 6 months. You need to see a board certified dermatologist. The differential diagnosis includes too superficial of an injection (by 6 months it would be expected to resolve or nearly so) , infection ( unlikely) , allergic reaction ( possibly granulomatous, and a host of ill defined reactions of unknown causation), koebner phenomenon with another skin disease ( sarcoid, etc). Juvederm products with the vycross technology have been reported to cause delayed 3-12 months later, reactions but other brands have also caused similar but quite rare reactions. Non-core specislists and general physicians simply dont have the specialized training to handle complications from aesthetic procedures.

Answer: Questions regarding side effects or allergic reaction to Juvederm To properly assess your questions, it would be nice to see your "before" and "2 weeks after Juvederm injection" photos. Hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers (like Juvederm) get resorbed. It is just a matter of time. To hasten it, hyaluronidase can be injected where the Juvederm was injected. This literally dissolves the HA.
