Is it okay to use mineral sunscreen before Juvederm or Voluma?

Thank you for your question! It's a great idea for you to protect your skin and it is fine to use sunscreen prior to receiving your Juvederm treatment.  Your injector will remove all makeup, sunscreen, etc in the treatment area prior to injecting. Best of luck!

Thank you for your question! It is safe to use skincare, sunscreen and makeup prior to getting injected. At my office, we supply make up wipes and facial cleanser to our patients. Before the patient gets injected they can remove any product that's on their face. After they clean off their product, alcohol is then used to prep and sterilize the injection site. Alcohol disinfects the skin prior to injections in order to prevent infections caused by bacteria on the skin being injected within tissue.
