There have been no reports of patients having issues with getting Botox after getting the vaccine. You should be safe to get Botox whenever you want.

There have been no reports on patients having adverse reactions from getting Botox after receiving the COVID vaccine. There have only been reports of temporary swelling of areas treated with dermal fillers. With that in mind, you should be okay to get Botox injections after getting the vaccine.

In general, microneedling is considered a safe treatment. Like any treatment though, there are a few risks you may face if not treated correctly. Microneedling risks include: brushing, bleeding, redness, skin irritation, dryness, infection, or scarring.

With any procedure, whether surgical or nonsurgical, we recommend going to an experienced professional. That way you can insure that you will be properly treated and have a higher likelihood of achieving desired results.

As we begin to age, it’s inevitable that our skin will change. Though there are things you can do to slow the process, you may begin to see sagging, loose skin, loss of facial volume and wrinkles. Many people turn to the surgical route by getting a facelift, but there is in fact another option.

A liquid facelift is a non-surgical alternative to a facelift. Instead of going under the scalpel for surgery, this procedure is done with the combined use of dermal fillers and botox to tighten, smooth and plump the face. The procedure can be done in less than an hour and has minimal recovery time. Though results are temporary due to filler and botox eventually wearing off, a noticeable difference can be seen almost immediately. With a variety of dermal fillers on the market, your injector can individually customize treatments for you.

Patients who struggle with chubby cheeks may benefit from buccal fat pad removal surgery. This procedure helps create a slimmer appearance to the face, improves facial contour, and reduces the round, or chubby appearance. Because incisions are made on the inside of the mouth, there is no visible scarring and the procedure takes about an hour.

As for patients who struggle with a double chin, liposuction or Kybella may be a good solution. Neck liposuction surgically removes fat cells, whereas Kybella is an injectable made from deoxycholic acid that essentially kills fat cells.

I recommend scheduling an evaluation with an experienced doctor who specializes in these procedures to determine which would be best for you.

A combination of different treatments individualized to the patient can be done to rejuvenate the hands. Treatments such as microdermabrasion, IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) and chemical peels can be used individually or jointly to treat sun damage, brown pigmentation or sun spots. Dermal fillers or fat transfers can also be used to restore hands to a more useful state.

How Much Does Laser Liposuction Cost?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Liposuction or liposculpture treatments should be customized to the individual, which means the cost will vary by surgery case. Cost can depend on: surgeon expertise, areas, BMI, and skin elasticity, among others factors.

Great question! While every patient has their own time frame for recovery, generally our patients are up and walking around day of, and back to work in a couple of days. Downtime can depend on a few things such as: liposuction area, previous surgeries, the amount of fat removed, and the patient's pain tolerance.

During your initial consultation, your provider should be able to give you a general timeline based on the surgery plan.

How much does Botox cost?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Botox pricing can be confusing - while some people charge by area, others charge by unit. At our practice we charge by unit for all of our neurotoxins. This allows us to offer full correction to baby doses of Botox, and only charge the patient for the exact amount of product they are using.

At our practice, the cost per currently is unit is $10/unit with our cosmetic nurse injectors, and $11/unit with an MD. The amount of units you need depends on the area and movement.

To avoid pricing surprises, before getting Botox, make sure to have a full facial consultation with your injector and discuss expected units before hand.

That's a great question! Not all practices offer all brands of filler. For example - some only offer Allergan (Juvederm family fillers, Botox), Galderma (Restylane fillers, Dysport) or Merz (Radiesse, Belotero, Xeo). This can be for many reasons - personal preference, availability, client demand, and to be completely transparent - cost savings. But a good injector should be aware and informed of all the fillers, and should also be able to tell you WHY they are choosing a filler over the other.

If you have done your research and are set on specific filler - then absolutely seek out a provider in that area. Realself is a great tool for that!

Hope this helps.

Calf ankle & knee liposuction

I struggled to find good reviews for this procedure since it isn’t very common. So I hope this helps someone else. Despite aggressive working out 5 days a week, I have never been able to reduce the fat I hold in my lower legs. For reference I am 5’6” 130lbs 39 years old. I’m currently exactly 2 weeks post op. Being transparent, this procedure has been way harder on me than I expected. I thought I would be able to do light exercise one week post op, and be back at the gym 2 weeks post op. Maybe that’s the case for some people, but definitely not me. The procedure itself was very uncomfortable for me, although I did opt to avoid narcotics so was not on any pain meds beforehand. I only took 2 ibuprofen at a time for a few days afterwards. I was not prepared for the discomfort. I have had a tummy tuck, and the first 2 weeks of this, have been harder on my than the first two weeks of that. The intense burning when I would stand would sometimes require me to just brace myself and bear it until it slowly went away. Any amount of touching my legs was very painful. Putting on the compression garment, was very uncomfortable for at least the first week. 2 weeks post op and my legs are not sensitive to touch anymore, but they are still sore with pressure or squeezing. I still get some burning when I stand up, but it’s considerably better. I currently have pretty intense swelling around my knees and ankles, to the point that I cannot bend my knees very far. It’s very hard feeling! Not squishy, like you might expect swelling to be. My right leg and right ankle has much more swelling than the left. Another thing that surprised me was how yellow my legs turned. They looked jaundice. I know my knees still look so puffy. I asked my doctor about this and he said I have very unusual knees (yes I know), and that they found I had a lot of connective tissue aside from the fat pockets. So I don’t expect my knees to be as cute as I was hoping. Despite that, I can already start to see better definition in my left leg, than pre surgery. My ankles are thinner and my calves are more defined. Which is encouraging, considering I still have a lot of swelling. I know it will keep getting better with time. As far as Dr Kerr, he was very kind, and thorough. I do believe he did a wonderful job. He is retiring, so I’m thankful I was able to do this before he hung up his hat. The videos are 2 and 5 days post op. I will do my best to update as I continue to heal. Updated on 13 Feb 2024: 13 weeks post op and I’m still dealing with hardness from swelling, and discoloration in my skin. I have much more definition in my calves, but unfortunately my right leg had more fat removed than my left. It’s measuring about 1/2” smaller around the calf. Which is pretty significant, considering it’s only about a 13” circumference. All in all, I’m happier with my legs beforehand. But plan for a long, slow recovery. And keep in mind that your legs are mirror images of each other. So any differences the doctor creates, will be obvious to you because you will be comparing one leg to the other. I wish both of my legs had turned out like my left. Oh well.

I am so excited to continue this journey under Dr. Kerr!

For the last 10 years I’ve struggled with my “cankles” for lack of a better term. I’ve looked all over the web for places that do liposuction of the calves and ankles and when I saw Dr. Kerr’s before and after photos I was hooked. I set up a Skype consultation with Stephanie (who was so sweet and accommodating and amazing). When I met Dr. Kerr he was warm and welcoming and more than willing to answer any questions that I had. I showed him my legs and he said I was a perfect candidate! He explained the procedure to me and within 10 minutes of the consultation, I had a quote emailed to me with a more than fair price. I had also explained that another place I had talked to wanted to go up into my thighs which I didn’t think was necessary and it’s a part of my body I was happy with. He agreed that it wasn’t necessary which made me feel like he wasn’t trying to just get my money! I am so excited to continue this journey under Dr. Kerr!

So HAPPY with my Results!!!!

I'm so glad I met Dr Kerr and his staff. It's been a year and half since my procedure, and I'm still happy with my decision to do lipo and most of all that I had Dr Kerr do it. I felt very comfortable from the very beginning to the end and even now 18 months later. I met with 3 different doctors. And I'm glad that I went with Dr Kerr because I was able to get more done by choosing him. With the others I met with I would have only been able to do my outer thighs. But with Dr. Kerr I was able to do outer and inner thighs and my knees. Plus I didn't feel pressured to do business with him like the other offices had tried. Dr Kerr was very thorough and explained everything to me in detail. He was knowledgeable and he didn't try to over promise. Which I thought was refreshing. I love his attention to detail. You can tell he likes what he does and has a passion for his work. I had two days of surgery, one day for each leg. The process was interesting and kind of gross but Dr. Kerr and Lindsey are enjoyable and fun to listen to. I waited a long period of time to go by to do a review cuz before my procedure there was lots of positive reviews that were all just shortly after their procedure. And it's been 18 months and I wanted others to know that I'm so glad I did this. I wished I had done it sooner. Background on myself: I had lost weight (from having kids) about 4 years ago, but kept struggling because I couldn't lose the weight where it wasn't coming off. So I would get frustrated and sabotage myself. Not anymore! I am finally at peace with myself and the efforts I've made AND my decision to do lipo!!! Thank you Dr. Kerr and staff!

Listened to my needs better than anyone else!

I went to Dr. Kerr at Silk Touch Med Spa after a botched plastic surgery procedure done by a different doc here in the Treasure Valley. My face was a mess, with scarring and crookedness. Dr. Kerr listened to my experience, my needs, and was both knowledgeable and sympathetic. He helped me create a plan of action I was comfortable with, and set me on a road to recovery under his expert care. I’m deeply grateful for his skill, and his empathy for what I’d gone through! He and his knowledgeable staff are the best around!

SmartLipo - Ankles, Calves, Knees, Thighs - Boise, ID

So I had it done! I had SmartLipo on my ankles, inner and outer calves, full knees and inner and outer thighs with Dr. Kerr. He is the nicest man in the world and his staff is amazing (his assistant Vanessa is who I dealt with the most and I'm so so thankful she was there). From the time you walk in until the time you leave, Dr. Kerr makes you feel very comfortable and well looked after. The pain isn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. My surgery was broken out into two different days and I didn't take any painkillers the day after surgery, only the day of. The part that hurts the most about the whole thing is putting the compression garments on over top of the bandages (and let me tell you, this pain is AWFUL), the surgery itself doesn't hurt at all. You may experience a little bit of pinching when you're being numbed but it's barely noticeable. I'm very swollen and bruised right now but when I initially looked down after my surgery, I had an internal happy freak out because I couldn't believe how thin my calves and ankles looked. So hopefully now, it's just a matter of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and being patient so the swelling and bruising can go down. I will post pictures when the swelling and bruising have gone down. For anyone who wants SmartLipo done, go to Dr. Kerr. He is amazing and professional, his staff is great and his facility is beautiful. The total cost for my procedure was $10,500. Updated on 28 Jul 2016: Just thought I would post a four year post surgery pic as I seem to have a lot of people contacting me asking about the longevity of the surgery results. I'm still very happy with my results. I weigh about 8 lbs more on this pic that I did when I had the surgery but did not gain anything in the circumference of my calves or ankles. Updated on 8 Mar 2020: 8 years post calf and ankle liposuction with Dr Kerr and I am still in love with my results. I actually think they look better now than they ever have. Please see pictures below. These are my results after 8 years, bare skin, no lotion or tanner. It's insane how well Dr Kerr was able to shape my legs with what he had to work with. Smart Lipo on Legs (Calves, Ankles, Knees, Thighs) - Boise, ID

After several years of contemplating, debating, crying, researching, etc. I finally went ahead and had smart lipo performed on my legs. Initially I wanted my ankles and calves done since those were my primary problem areas but decided to also have my knees, inner/outer/back (including the banana roll) thighs done. Since I could remember i've always been self conscious of my calves. I am not a heavy person by any means. I'm between 5'2" and 5'3" and fluctuate between 98-102 in weight. My calves on the thickest part were 14.5 inches in circumference and my thighs on the thickest part were 20 inches in circumference. I had problems fitting into certain jean styles and boots. I hated the summer because I was never looking forward to wearing shorts. I hardly wore any boots either. There were some I could fit into but it just never looked right (imagine a sausage being shoved into a test tube, Yuck! D: ) Anyway, I started researching locally in Boston. I figured I wouldn't have any problems finding a surgeon here since Boston's one of the best medical places in the country. Initially I was deadset on wanting general anesthesia over local; I didn't want to experience any pain and I didn't want to be awake during the procedure. I got several opinions. The first surgeon told me it was basically water weight and that there was nothing i could do. That was a huge blow for me, but luckily I went ahead and got other opinions. I even went to the top rated plastic surgeon in Boston. In the end I just wasn't happy with the answers I received from any of the surgeons here. So I started looking out of state. I researched in California, New York, Florida, etc. I finally came across a doctor in Boise, Idaho. He had great before and after photos of all the body parts he's worked on for people including the calves! I was very excited to see those pictures because to me it was a dramatic before and after difference and that was more than enough for me. So I went ahead and contacted them; asked the questions, etc etc... Everyone that I talked to over the phone and emailed was super nice and accommodating. I sent them my measurements and photos of my legs. I talked to the doctor of the phone and we went over everything. He asked me why i was doing this and explained the procedure step by step. It was great because it didn't feel rushed at all. He was really understanding and most of all caring! Two weeks later I had everything booked: the hotel, flight, medications..everything. I was excited but very anxious. I have never had surgery before so I didn't know what to expect. I was primarily afraid of pain and needles...blood not so much because I could always close my eyes and not have to see anything :P My procedure was split into two days. The first half of the procedure was on the 15th of February. I met the staff and doctor for the first time. They were all very nice and happy to see me! I was given a my medication (a little extra that day as i was very anxious and told them i was really afraid of pain). We went over everything again including what would happen during and what to expect after. I got my before pictures taken and was then sent to the room to get started. It really wasn't painful at all. Initially you feel a bit of poking and pinching when he's putting the lidocane in but after a couple of seconds you hardly feel anything. I was awake during the entire procedure but i was definitely out of it. It felt like only 10 minutes but i'm sure it took 1-2 hours. I had my knees, inner, outer, and back of my thighs done that day. I think I had nearly 2 liters (I will ask my doctor what the precise measurements was on my next visit) taken out just on those areas which is crazy because I don't consider myself overweight! When i was done, they left me to rest/sleep there for about an hour before one of the nurses took me back to the hotel. I was exhausted still from the medication so i fell right to sleep. I remember waking up a couple of hours later to go to the bathroom but my head was spinning! It felt like someone was shaking me. I couldn't see or stand right. On my way back to the bed I lost my balance and fell! My phone was no where near me and i couldn't get up lol! So i just fell asleep against the foot of my bed. Luckily two nurses came to check up on me an hour or so later and saw me there and helped me. They gave me medication, Gatorade, and changed my bandages. I felt so helpless but they were so nice! They are around my age so we got along pretty well :) My doctor also frequently checked up on me throughout the day/night. I felt so spoiled lol, like i was the only patient they had! :) The second day one of the nurses picked me up at the hotel and drove me to the clinic. I didn't feel as anxious this time because I knew what to expect. I was given my medication and asked to sit on one of their massage chairs. I stupidly fell alseep with the massage chair on hahahaha and was awoken by the doctor who helped me to the room. Again, the only somewhat painful part was the initial injection. I wasn't nauseous at all that day and didn't need to sleep after the procedure. The doctor took 770 CC of fat out PER Calf/Ankle...thats 1540 cc total just in ankles and calves combined! I was shocked as that's about 3-4 pounds of fat! I was taken home by the doctor and a nurse. The doctor helped me into bed and made me ramen noodles! I also had a nurse come by later that day to help me change my garments. So it has been 4 days since my last procedure and I am still in Boise, Idaho. I leave for home tomorrow afternoon soon after my last appointment with the doctor. I've been somewhat sore and swollen especially around the knees and ankle/foot areas. My feet are the worst :( It just feels awkward and like two huge blimps. I also have significant bruising especially behind the knees and the feet area. Other than that I saw results immediately after the procedure. My calves and ankles look so skinny even with all the swelling i'm experiencing. I cannot wait until the swelling subsides! I will keep you all posted every couple of days. I'll also post before and after pictures when I get the chance. All in all, my experience was very pleasant. Ladies (and gentlement), it IS possible to have your calves and ankles lipoed! One of my biggest issues from all of this was that there wasn't much info about lipo being done on the calves and ankles, and a lot of doctors are too uncomfortable working on this area. But IT IS Possible! If you are reading this and you are also contemplating having your lower legs done I would seriously consider the doctor I went to. His price is more than fair and he is there with you 100% of the way. Plus Boise is a beautiful place to visit! You can see the rockies right outside your hotel window!
