Answer: Revision rhinoplasty Your nose Dan certainly be lowered slightly with revision rhinoplasty. You still gave a small bump that is noticeable on side view. This should be a pretty straightforward revision accomplished by filing your bridge a bit further. You don't mention how long it has been since your original surgery, but you should wait at least six months.

Answer: Revision rhinoplasty Improving the cosmetic appearance of the nose by making it a little smaller and refining its shape, yet having the result look natural, is a frequent request from patients seeking a rhinoplasty. Following the advice from a surgeon on this or any other website who proposes to tell you exactly what to do based on 2 dimensional photos without examining you, physically feeling the tissue, assessing your desired outcome, taking a full medical history, and discussing the pros and cons of the operative procedure would not be in your best interest. I would suggest you find a plastic surgeon with extensive nasal surgery experience who is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and ideally a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) or a facial plastic surgeon (otolaryngologist) that you trust and are comfortable with. You should discuss your concerns with that surgeon in person. Robert Singer, MD FACS La Jolla, California

Answer: Revision rhinoplasty: is it possible to slope my nose? Hi and thanks for your question. Yes, it is possible to lower the bridge of a nose to create more of a slope. I would see a surgeon who is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery with extensive experience in rhinoplasty. For example my practice has focused on aesthetic surgery, especially rhinoplasty, since the mid 1980's. A personal consultation is really what you need so that you can achieve your aesthetic goals instead of any recommendations you might receive on this or other websites. Best of luck!

Answer: Revision rhinoplasty for dorsal hump removal and bulbous tip reduction It is possible to shave down the dorsal hump to give more of an in-slope if patient so desires. Revision rhinoplasty is harder than a primary, so choose your surgeon very wisely based on experience. Some minor adjustments to the bulbous tip can also be performed as well.
