Could I have pushed my nose too far to one side or caused damage by pushing on one side?

neyney12
I'm ten days post op my doctor has asked me to push on the top left side of my bridge three times a day for ten seconds for two weeks because he added extra cartilage to the right hand side. I guess he wants to prevent my nose from moving to the left. I'm scared this will shift the cartilage.
