Answer: A scar revision can be done paired with Plato's Scar Serum twice daily Our treatments use combination therapy to improve the epidermis and dermis for most deep scars. The options available for acne scars depend on the character of your scars, in terms of topography and contour. We see atrophic and hypertrophic acne scars, as well as scars that have hypo and hyperpigmentation. We begin each scar evaluation with an assessment of scar quality and subtype. Our main concern is rebuilding collagen and that is why we use a HIDEF protocol that includes combination therapy. Morpheus 8, scar subcision, fibrous release, fractional laser, CO2 laser, Thulium laser, PDL Vbeam laser, and fractional resurfacing can be used in addition to TCA Cross and chemical peels to further improve skin. Patients should start Melarase AM and Melarase PM for active hyperpigmentation. Always begin with a consultation to decide whether early subcision should be started. Answer: Eyelid scars at 4 months Thank you for sharing your case. From my own experience, topical creams do not seem to change the appearance of a scar after 4 months. There are several types of lasers available which might improve the look of the scar. See an expert in laser treatments for detailed evaluation and guidance. Good luck,

Answer: How to remove eyelid scar? No treatment(s) completely removes a scar. The goal of any treatment is to make the scar less obvious. Depending on the type of scarring and its location there are several options that may be used alone or in combination. To develop a detailed treatment plan for you requires a thorough examination. It is still too early 6 months would be the absolute minimum and depending on its progress possible out to a year before a revision. Silicone gels and sheeting does help soften, flatten and fade scarring BUT it MUST be in place 24 hr x 7 days a week for at least 3 months. A kneeding type message to stretch the scarred tissue will also help.

Answer: Difficult scar so that was a tricky laceration that will inevitably leave an unsightly scar. 4 months is early on an upper lid but not so early as to be slightly concerned this is the scar you might be left with. Silicone gel is hard to apply to an eyelid and silicon sheet even harder. A scar revision will also be difficult due to the zig zag nature of the original scar. My advice would be to do nothing for one year total then ask a plastic surgeon what they think can be done but accept that leaving it might be the best option. Hope that helps, Adam Goodwin
