Does getting a filler such as Juvederm scar, from the needle I mean?

I got a cortisone shot a while back and it left a scar from the injection is why I'm wondering.

The needles used for injecting Juvederm are extremely small bore and do not traumatize the skin. As. Result, there should not be any scarring from injecting Juvederm.

Thank you for your excellent question.   Cortisone injections do have occasional side effects: fat atrophy, thinning of the skin, blood vessel formation, etc.  They can often be administered with a fairly large syringe as well.  JVD is administered with a much smaller needle and does not have these side effects.  I would not anticipate any scars from forming as a result of JVD injections

Scars from filler injections are very rare unless the doctor uses large needle, there are problems injecting or the patient skin is very delicate.Juvederm can definitely help with scar corrections if they are from other things such as acne or injury.

Hello, it would be very uncommon to get a scar from the needle used to inject Juvederm.  It is a very fine needle.  As for your previous injection, cortisone can cause skin changes so perhaps this is actually what you are seeing rather than a scar from the needle?

The needles used for Juvederm injections are extremely small and you should not expect any scarring from them. Temporary redness, bruising, and swelling are all potential things you might experience after Juvederm injections but these are very short-lasting.

Juvederm or any other filler when injected into the skin with quite fine needles do not leave any scarring. A cortisone shot on the other hand or the inflamed lesion it was used for can both cause a depression or scar in some cases.

I wouldn't expect any scarring from your Juvederm injections. As stated earlier, cortisone injections can lead to atrophy, loss of tissue, and that might be what you experienced.

No, the injections from Juvederm do not leave scars.  Cortisone is a bit different, and you can have thinning of skin or indentations in the skin from this injection.  I wouldn't worry about the Juvederm, as long as you see an experienced injector, you should be fine!
