I'm 2 days post juverderm in nasolabial folds. Left fold is fine, but right is badly bruised & lumpy. Should I worry? (Photo)

Thank you for your question.Swelling and bruising are common after injectables and can last up to two weeks. Although in your case your bruising is very prominent, in which I would recommend contacting the provider who injected you for a follow up appointment to discuss your concerns. To be sure, see two or more board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment.I hope this helps.

Severe bruising after injections are not unusual.  However your pictures do look a bit worrisome since it may represent damage or blockage of some of your blood vessels along the nasolabial fold.  You should go back to your doctor for evaluation immediately.  Furthermore, looking at the top of your pictures, it seems that you have loss of volume along your cheekbones which may contribute to the creases along the folds and mouth.  You might get better overall results if you correct your midface and cheeks. I can't exactly say I'm comfortable with this outcome. The question is whether this represents a vascular issue or just plain bruising. It is probably the later. I would discuss this with your doctor, sooner rather than later. I use a laser for bruising to decrease it's duration to a couple days. Cannulas avoids this risk.
