Am I a candidate for a Tummy Tuck or no scar treatment? (photos)

Question

I ask this question with more appropriate/realistic pictures. Will my stomach look better after tummy tuck and long thick scar (operated look) or better to focus on other treatment which can tighten and lift the skin without scar? What would be the best visual outcome in my situation? Thank you.

Thank you for your question regarding whether you are a candidate for a tummy tuck or no-scar treatment. Based on your pictures, you have no stretch marks and the skin does not appear that distended. Patients usually undergo tummy tucks for excess skin, excess fat, or weak abdominal muscles. On you, I don't see any excess abdominal skin, minimal abdominal fat, but there is some muscle weakness. I do not think undergoing a tummy tuck just to repair your muscle would be worth it. In my opinion, I think you would benefit from abdominal liposuction. Specifically, I would suggest abdominal etching or VASER hi-def abdominal liposuction. During VASER hi-def abdominal liposuction, the fat around the rectus abdominus muscle is sculpted. You can really show off your six-pack and external obliques. Also, the concentration would be placed on the love handle region. I've had many successful patients with physique such as yourself get ripped abs with a VASER hi-def six-pack procedure. The VASER hi-def liposuction surgery takes approximately 2-3 hours to complete. VASER hi-def abdominal liposuction is performed under general anesthesia. VASER hi-def abdominal liposuction is an outpatient procedure and takes about 7-10 days to recover. You will need to wear a compression garment for about 6-8 weeks after the surgery to minimize swelling and accentuate results. In conclusion, I would suggest VASER hi-def liposuction instead of a tummy tuck for your abdomen. VASER hi-def abdominal sculpting or etching is a technically difficult procedure. Your plastic surgeon must know his abdominal wall anatomy. When seeking revision VASER hi-def abdominal etching, please seek an experienced, board-certified plastic surgeon with significant experience performing the VASER hi-def procedure. Not all plastic surgeons own a VASER machine and most plastic surgeons do not perform the VASER hi-def procedure. Do your research. Make sure your selected plastic surgeon has performed at least 100 VASER hi-def abdominal etching surgeries and have the before and after pictures to prove it. Carefully examine their before and after pictures and check their reviews on RealSelf.  If you cannot find an experienced, VASER hi-def plastic surgeon in your neighborhood, consider traveling, if you must.

You are a candidate for a tummy tuck. Liposuction is another alternative but it does leave a scar. Most your excess skin is low so it possible that is you do liposuction the excess skin will hang but this could be corrected with a mini tummy tuck.

Pigmentation, discoloration, chronic inflammation, scar visibility can all occur in the short term. it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Based on your photos, it looks like you don't have much loose skin so tummy tuck might not be the best option. Hi, thanks for your question. By the photos, you don't need a Tummy Tuck. the aim of TT is mainly to eliminate saggy skin, not fat deposits. If you have fat deposits you may have success with a non-invasive treatment, such as Cryolipolisis, or other. Consult a board-certified plastic surgeon to have an in-person exam. Good luck!

I would suggest treating your muscles with EMSculpt to tighten and give better core strength, use liposuction for any residual excess fat and minimally invasive radiofrequency skin tightening like Renuvion to tighten loose skin. You do not need the tummy tuck and long scar.

From your photos it doesn't appear that you need a tummy tuck.  You could consider liposuction with J Plasma to help tighten skin.  I'm not sure the long scar associated with a tummy tuck would be worth it in your case.

Well, as I see from your pictures, you posess allready a nice muscular sheet of your abdominal wall. Unfortunately it is covered by another sheet of tissue, which you probably do not like so much (fat tissue). It's more or less the question of "definition", as body builders say. So the quickest and simplest way to solve your problem could be e. g. the "abdominar carving" (no visible scars at all). In my clinic takes it less then an hour in a typical case.
