If you are trying to figure out after your arm lipo when you can have a mommy makeover I would consider what your expected outcomes are from the lipo. Liposuction of the arms can only remove so much without leaving loose skin, so the liposuction will not be that extensive as a stand alone procedure or else you would likely need a brachioplasty or arm lift to tighten the loose skin from too much lipo. That being said, I would recommend waiting at least 6 weeks until a good portion of the swelling/contour has been established from the arm lipo before doing the mommy makeover that way if you are not totally satisfied with your arms or if there is any asymmetries this can be touched up while you are already in surgery for your mommy makeover.
In most cases, you should wait about 6 to 8 weeks after arm liposuction before undergoing a mommy makeover. This allows your body to Fully recover from the first procedure, Reduce inflammation and bruising and Lower the risk of complications from combining surgeries too close together.Of course, the exact timing depends on your overall health, how your arms are healing, and what your mommy makeover includes (tummy tuck, breast surgery, etc.). Guidance is advised for individual situation/recovery.Best, Erman AK., MDPlastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgeon
Hello and thank you for your question! Arm lipo can be potentially combined with mommy makeover, depending on the patient/surgeon preference and what exact "mommy makeover" procedures are already planned on being performed. If you want to do this separately due to cost, recovery, surgery length/safety reasons - those are all valid reasons as well. Staged procedures are very common - typically I advise patient that it takes 2-3 months to fully "recover" from one major surgery and therefore wait at least 3 months (or sometimes longer if needed) to schedule their next major "stage".Good luck on your journey!
Dear Exuberant121838,you should wait until you are fully healed prior to another elective procedure. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Thanks for your question. I recommend waiting at least three months after arm lipo before your mommy makeover. Hope this helps. Please always consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. Take care, Dr. Moises Salama, board certified plastic surgeon.
A mommy makeover may even include liposuction of the arms, so there probably is not any given amount of time you would have to wait. Good luck with your surgery.
Thank you for your question. After arm liposuction surgery you can wait at least 3-4 weeks to get a mommy make over surgery.Recovery period may vary between patients but overall one month will be enough.
In general, if you've had arm lipo (or any liposuction procedure), it is recommended that you wait 6 to 12 weeks before undergoing a mommy makeover. This ensures that you will be able to use your arms for mobility and transferring your body weight safely after surgery.
The short answer is that you can get a second procedure next day if you are feeling okay. But if you would like to have some more time for recovery, you can have the operation anytime you want when you feel okay.
Dear Exuberant21838, thanks for sharing your question, patients should wait 6 months between procedures but arm lipo and mommy make over also can be performed at the same time if there is not a medical contraindication. Make sure you go on consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon. Hope this helps and best of lucks. Dr. Luis Mejia.
