Hello, Thank you for your question. In truth, it really just depends. It would be wise to go into the practice and have a consultation before purchasing the Groupon. Discuss how long they have been practicing, ask if they have gone to CoolSculpting university, and discuss how they would approach your treatment plan. You could then consult with another physician who isn't running the Groupon and determine if there is a difference. It's always a good idea to research the reviews of the practice as well! Good luck!
While it is not necessarily a bad thing to use a Groupon or other discount offers toward CoolSculpting®, you should use caution. The fact that someone is administering CoolSculpting® treatments does not mean they are sufficiently qualified to do so. Therefore, it is best to only have CoolSculpting® at a medical spa or plastic surgeon's office where there are certified CoolSculpting® Technicians. To earn this distinction, a practitioner must have sufficient education and experience. Only consider using a coupon if these criteria are met by the place offering it.
WhileI completely understand the desire to save money whenever possible, when it comes to a procedure like CoolSculpting, knowledge of thephysician and training and experience of the staff really matters.CoolSculpting, performed expertly, can reshape your body with verylittle to no downtime and very few side effects. You want to workwith someone who has expertise and skill. If you have a Groupon forCoolSculpting, take the time to visit the center before you book anappointment to make sure the practitioner is a board-certifieddermatologist who has many years' experience contouring bodies withcryolipolysis. Also be sure to visit a few other dermatologists sothat you can find the best one. In the long term, you could be savingyourself money, time and frustration by working with an expert.
The CoolSculpting company actually prohibits their providers from offering Groupon deals. So either they are using knock off machines or are violating the company's advertising policies. All that aside, why would you want to trust your face and body to the lowest bidder? I spend a significant amount of time in my practice fixing complications caused by groupon deals. Often, patients spend more money fixing these mistakes. Choose your physician wisely. Best wishes.
You'll want to see a practitioner with skill, expertise, best techniques and certification in Coolsculpting. For best results with Coolsculpting, I recommend a combination approach. I recommend adding radiofrequency treatments like Vanquish, Venus Legacy, Exilis Ultra for skin tightening and with Z wave/Cellutone for skin smoothing. VASER with ThermiRF is a great alternative. Don't let distance dissuade you, see an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Hi purple doll. When seeking a provider for Coolsculpting, look for the advanced training certification (Coolsculpting University). A plastic surgeon's office will provide onsite expertise, and discussion comparing liposuction to CS will be possible. A provider that has multiple machines and the latest applicators is a sign of a busy and experienced CS office. Now you can get Brilliant Distinctions points to provide money towards other services (Botox, Fillers, Latisse, SkinMedica products, etc), but not all CS providers offer this. (Also, the company that makes CS machines has set a minimum charge that practices are supposed to abide by to avoid losing their company support. ). If you find all of the above qualities with a Groupon, go for it---you will get what you pay for. Best wishes,
This is such a great question, so thanks for asking! When it comes to any cosmetic procedure, including nonsurgical treatments like CoolSculpting®, you really don’t want to let the price tag influence your decision. In the long run, you will be much happier with your results if you work with an experienced board-certified plastic surgeon who doesn’t cut any corners. If price is an issue for you, ask about financing options to help make your treatment more affordable. Best of luck in your search!
I would assume that if a CoolSculpting office wants to use a groupon or standard coupon to turn in more customers and if is is fully valid that it should be available for use.
In general, I would not use Groupon for things like cosmetic or medical procedures. It makes you kinda wonder about the place, right? I mean would you go to have Lasik done by an ophthalmologist that offers Groupon? In general Groupon providers are high volume providers, that's the way they make money off of offering such big discounts. You are not going to get the quality care from someone who sees so many clients per day. Also, providers that are offering Groupons for CoolSculpting typically offer discounts off of 1-2 treatments, which is not going to do you any good. You should seek out a doctor who DOESN'T offer Groupons for CoolSculpting, who will take the time to do a proper assessment and give you a detailed plan of treatment.
