Help. I had CoolSculpting done 12 days ago. I have two long red lines on my stomach.

the red lines are not bruised. They don't hurt and I have used Arnica to try and get them to go away. Still no change. I'm so upset because I leave for the beach in two weeks and I can't wear a bathing suit with my stomach showing. I was told it is non invasive and now I have red lines in the middle of my abdomen that will not go away. What could this be and what I can do?

The red lines are totally normal. They are from the gel trap inside the applicator . This indicates that you had a good draw, which should lead to optimal results. 
Applying Aquaphor to the area will help and they should resolve soon.

Redness, swelling, and sometimes bruising are completely normal in the days following a CoolSculpting treatment. The redness and any other side effects will dissipate daily. Most of our patients have no residual side effects before they come in for their 30 day follow up; if you leave for the beach in 2 weeks, I'm optimistic that you will be good to go by then!
Every patient reacts a little differently, but like all possible CoolSculpting side effects the redness will go away.  Just remember that you're getting all of the benefits of liposuction, with none of the downtime or invasive damage to skin, nerve, and other tissues. Best of luck!

Red lines or bruising are side-effects of CoolSculpting. Each individuals tissues will react differently. The good news is that this is temporary and indicates a good treatment. Ways to hasten the redness include:
  
Massage of the area will improve the discoloration.
  Fresh pineapple with the active enzyme bromelain has been most helpful in reducing bruising.
  Use of oral and / or topical Arnica montana may improve the redness quicker. 
  If this persists, follow up with your CoolSculpting Team.

We had CoolSculpting for about 1.5 years, then got rid of it!  We had far too many unhappy patients!   We got rid of it and purchased SCULPSURE!   I've had SculpSure for about 8 months now.  Haven't had a single unhappy patient yet!

Some swelling and redness is normal after Coolsculpting. Likely the red lines you are speaking of are due to suction of the device.  If you are more concerned I would schedule a follow up with your treating physician for an exam. Good luck with having resolution prior to your beach trip.

Thanks for your great question.  CoolSculpting is an amazing noninvasive treatment that permanently removes fat cells from the treated areas.  Results typically become apparent after about 3-4 months. When one is treated, there are a variety of phases that the body will go through during the weeks and months following the procedure. In the first weeks there will most likely be some swelling and possible redness.  It is very common that the areas where the applicators came in contact with the body will be pink or even red looking.  This is caused by a combination of the suction and the freezing. For most, this redness will subside within about 2-3 weeks. For others, it can take up to a month.  But, the good news is that it is normal and will dissipate. It sounds as though your redness should be gone by the time you are ready to get into that bathing suit. Good luck with everything!
